Hey guys, long time no see. I have an initial interview tomorrow for a sales support/admin type position and I'm not sure which dress to wear. Whichever one gets chosen I would wear a black blazer over it and nude heels. They are pretty much the same dress, same brand but different color so fit is not the question, they both fall just below the knee on me. I was leaning toward the gray dress, but it is still summer and I don't know if the gray one is too severe.

I will cry if anyone says they are not appropriate for an interview and need to start over.
If these are really your only two options, I think you're fine with either one. Wear whichever makes you more confident.
However, I'd consider adding something more sheath-like to your collection for interviews, or picking up a reasonably-priced suit to have at the ready. You can always switch out shells for a different look and get a lot of use out of one suit.
It's really nice to "see" you, by the way. And good luck!
I absolutely agree with you. I have the perfect suit dress and suit separates, but some recent health issues have caused enough weight gain that those are not currently an option.
If I get a second interview I'll have to bite the bullet on a new suit. Anyone know who sells good plus size suits?

My best work suits (+ size) came from Lord & Taylor. For more affordable options, I hear good things about Dress Barn. I found Lane Bryant to be hit or miss.

I like JCP for plus sized suits, especially if you don't want to spend a fortune because of size changes.
Just my opinion, but I don't think it has to be a sheath dress, this cut can be very flattering, my concern would be the bold lines on it.

TALBOTS FOR SUITS!
They sell their separates using the same fabrics across all size lines - regular, petitie, woman, and woman petite. It's very helpful, especially if you're between sizes or are significantly different sizes on top and bottom. I have been known to buy pants in the WP section and jackets in the P section because this T-Rex has a big ass.

Thanks guys! I didn't mean to post and run. I will definitely check out those places this weekend for a new suit. Even if I don't end up with a second interview, there will hopefully be more interviews in the next few weeks!
A suit isn't necessary for every role. Particularly for supporte roles.
A nice sheath dress sure. I'm a sucker for sure.
I actually agree with this. But it may be because of our location. I have worn a suit to maybe 2 interviews?
Interview for my current job, I wore this with black pumps
I'm here. I don't even own a suit. The places in my area that would necessitate such a thing are so few and far between, much less at the level I'm interviewing at.
