The one thing that I would love in our house (and that we will never be able to have - sob) is an amazing mudroom. I saw one in Park City that I still dream about - it included little heater/drier things to put your boots on. Yes, please! But really, any type of mudroom would be amazing. I hate the coats and boots everywhere.
I want the kids bedrooms upstairs. If we found a home in budget with a huge landing area upstairs with common space/ desk areas/ playroom potential I would be SO ecstatic.
My must have feature is a kitchen with tons of cupboard space that is designed for use. My splurge would be a butlers pantry. I have way too many kitchen things and they line shelf after shelf in my basement.
I have been spoiled by a giant soaking tub in our master. H and I can take baths together and we've even done several baths with us and both girls. I will never be able to live somewhere without a soaking tub now.

I have few. A pantry, because we have so little storage, double ovens, and a gas stove. Apparently the kitchen is most important to me in my dream house, lol.
An open layout with tons of light. Our kitchen shares a wall w/ the living room and I never realized how much I'd like an open layout until we bought this house. I get it now! Our place has a decent amt of light but I would love bigger windows throughout too. A pantry would be awesome too. So basically a totally brand new kitchen
I saw recently a little door from the garage straight into the kitchen pantry. I've decided I need one. So you can just stick bags of groceries directly into the pantry!
Open layouts and good floorplans were things that we looked for when house-hunting. Other than that, I wasn't too picky. Must-haves for my H, however, included:
- a garage and driveway - dual sinks in the master bath - plenty of storage space
I would love to have a mudroom or some other space where coats and shoes could be kept out of sight, but those aren't very common in this area.
ETA: The solar panels post reminded me: If I were building a home or doing an extensive remodel, the house would have a grey water recycling system and solar panels.
There are so many things! I really want nice floors. Our floors suck and don't match, we never did anything with them when we moved in. Also a nice kitchen.
It's hard to choose. Things we don't have in our current house that I would love to have in the next one: upstairs laundry room, linen closet in the master bath, three car garage.
Open layout. A pool with a great outdoor space (part covered, part in the sun). After living in small & old apartments for so long, I'm spoiled rotten by our home and all the amenities. I'll never now be able to go without!
