Yes. I would be barefoot all the time if I could. My H gets out of bed and puts on shoes. His feet are so soft they feel like a newborn. Mine feel like Sasquatch.
When I was younger and lived in the city I used to wear stupid shoes to the bars that hurt my feet. Then when I was drunk, I would walk home barefoot. In the city. There were mornings I woke up the next day and my feet would be throbbing and I'd have actual glass shards embedded in my soles from broken bottles etc. Good times.

Nope. In my house, it's fine, but I don't even go onto the wooden front porch without shoes. Splinters! Rocks! Sticks! Acorns from the tree-lined street! No thank you.

I insisted we get some grass in our backyard so I could frolic in it. I rarely "frolic" but I do enjoy being barefoot.
The other day, though, I went out on our patio barefoot and stepped on a thorny branch I had forgotten I cut down and just...left there, apparently. I had to pull the thorns out of my foot

I mostly go barefoot, unless I'm going in a store or somewhere. Inside, outside. It's flip flop weather nearly year round, and we're coastal so in the summer there are people even grocery shopping barefoot, at least on this side of town.

I hate shoes. I walk outside my house without them all the time, my mailbox at the end of my drive is my shoe-less limit. My girls are the same way, I feel like my neighbors think we're raising feral children.

ETA: Not NYC, Philly
I used to do that too. What the hell was wrong with us? "Yes I am going to walk down Chestnut Street in bare feet and you can't stop me!"

I am glad I am not the only grody Philly girl. Yes, I have NO idea what I was thinking. I wasn't the only one of my friends that did it either!

Yeah I'd go barefoot most of the time if the sidewalks weren't disgusting. I take them off when we go to the park often, playground excepted b/c kids leave their toys everywhere lol.
Growing up I was barefoot most of the summer between our big yard and the summer cottages in NH.
