On the seat of my minivan. That is my go-to spot for any public place for the most part. I hate carrying too many things, so I usually leave the diaper bag in the van and run out there if I need something.
I've never really had to change at the park, I change him before we go. If I had to, it'd be in the car, because all the supplies would be there anyway. No parks in walking distance.
I thought of you all this evening when I pulled DS out of the playground sprinklers and realized his swim diaper was full of poop. My main goal was to get a sopping wet baby out of a poopy diaper and I didn't have time to think about making sure he was out of view of anyone else. I just pinned him down on a bench and did what I had to do.

Changing my kid before we go has never been any kind of insurance that he won't need to be changed while we are there, but if this works for you, you need to patent that!

Ha! Well he's a pretty predictable pooper, morning and after nap. I guess we're lucky in the bodily fluids department
I don't think I ever do. She's never pooped there and I always make sure we have a fresh diaper before we go. If I did have to change her, I'd do it on the grass sort of away from other people, I guess. We walk to the park, so car is not an option. When we're out and about though, we usually change her in the car (hatchback for the win!!!).
