I actually dreamed about compression socks last night. My calves have been so fatigued lately--like deep down exhausted ache in the muscle. Will wearing compression socks help this?
Stupid question. When do you wear them? During running? Post running? For how long? Where do you buy them? What kind should I get?

I actually bought some compression sleeves and I may be in love with them. I wear them after usually. I wear them around the house and sleep in them the night after my long run. I got my sleeves from ProCompression as a grab bag.
I love the socks too but they are such a pain in the ass to put on and in the summer they seem a little heavy.
I have two kinds. I usually wear them after running or the night before. I am experimenting with wearing them during longer runs (its been SO HOT in Baltimore) as I prepare for my first 50m.
They feel really great and help me with circulation and recovery for my muscles. I run a recovery run the day after my long runs/hard workouts and these seem to help with the feeling of dead legs during those recovery miles.

Follow up dumb question: I run with the group on Friday mornings (well this morning I didn't) and, thanks to the magic of peer pressure, and up pushing myself harder than I do on my solo runs.
I'm on my feet 80% of the day for work, And by the end of the day it really aches. Would wearing compression socks under my pants at work help with this?

Yep.
I should've worn mine yesterday after my midweek long run and my calves were achy this morning. (wilted)

I love love love my compression sleeves or socks for my calves and sleeve for each thigh. I wear the calf sleeves or socks to run in then put a new pair of either the sleeves or the socks on after my long run plus then I add on a thigh sleeve for each thigh. My legs feel so much better more relieved, less fatigued, less right and les of that heavy leg syndrome since I've been wearing them I wear them all day after and during my long runs. I've been know to rock my lilly shorts and sleeves/socks around town I don't care how I look lol
Pro compression are my favorite for calves Zensah for thighs
They make thrm for thighs?! How did i not think of that! That would be heavenly!
They are the BEST! Amazon has them. I bought 2 abs want more lol Sometimes I run in one on my right thigh to help my hamstring. My quads and hammies love the thigh sleeve! Definitely get some!

Thank you for reminding me about my compression sleeves! I did a bunch of double unders two days ago and am still sore, so I'm going to put them on right now. Please no one laugh at the pathetic-ness of what's making me happy on a Friday night (wilted)

I love my compression sleeves! I use them for a lot of my long runs. I want to be able to run in the socks but I can only use them for recovery. If they fit my calves they're too long on my feet, and if they fit my feet they're too tight on my calves.
Eta: I have Zensah sleeves that I got from Amazon, those are my favorites, and I have ProCompression both sleeves and socks that I got through the grab bag deals.
