I'm arguing with someone I don't know on FB about PP. I mentioned all the good that PP does and his response was "But how do you justify a little evil mixed in with "a lot good"? That's like making brownies with 3% of poop in it. Might taste ok but it's till got poo in it." I'm trying to come up with a decent response because it's my cousin's page, but I'm having a hard time. Any thoughts appreciated.
I mentioned that abortions happen with or without PP, that married women get abortions, and why aren't you arguing for the sanctity of life in regards to the frozen embryos and I got "I don't like that either. I will argue pro-life period. I don't know the answer yet but I think that we need to work towards it." ::::head desk::::
"Evil? Poop? This is about medical services for women, period. Services you and I have no legal say it, so the law needs to stay out of it, period."

I'm pretty disappointed in Rent the Runway. This is the second time in a row that I've reserved a dress for an event (we have a formal wedding tomorrow), and the day before I get an email saying they can't ship the dress because it's either damaged or returned late. They're sending a different dress, but I don't own the kind of bra I would need to wear it. I realize there isn't much they can do if people don't return a dress or return it destroyed, but it's incredibly annoying to spend money on a dress that I don't get to wear. It's making me not want to use them anymore in the future.
I'm so happy I called out pet insurance out on their BS.
My dog was limping a lot a few weeks ago, so we took him to the vet. Diagnosis was arthritis and a possible ligament tear. The bill was over $400, and part of this treatment is $40 weekly injections for the next 8 weeks. I submitted the claims for the visit/exam and first injection and they were denied, claiming a "pre-existing condition" that was diagnosed before our policy goes into effect. Um, no. Our policy started in November 2014 and he was diagnosed in August 2015. They reviewed the claims again and after the deductible, I'm getting $117 back from the big bill AND the injections are all covered. That's a lot of money back in our pockets. Yay!
Well, this has shaped up to be a LOVELY Friday. My co-worker quit. Our three person office is now back down to two. OAN, one of the people we support is acting a complete ass about my co-worker's resignation. Fun.times. On the upside tho - said co-worker was a problem child, so I ain't sad about it.
*waves* Hi guys – it’s been awhile. I received a notice several days ago or so, that I was tagged (TY agnes and NewOrleans). I tried reading through that entire new names thread, but there was too much Oreo breath and drool from the sexy-men-in-suits pics. lol
And I spent way too long typing and retyping the same incorrect password, trying to force PB to accept it, until I finally remembered what it really was. I need to write this shit down.
I went to a get together last night with a bunch of girls in my meetup group. A new girk came and she was wearing an MLM shirt advertising her business. About 12 seconds after meeting each of us she handed out her business flyer and then spent most of the night talking about how awesome her business is and it's *only* $xx to buy in and sell. Gah!
I think I would have said "no" and handed it back to her, but I am a super bitch these days.
Well, my response was close. As she handed me the brochure she asked if I had heard of their popular product. I told her yes, I had, and actually had some. She said "Oh so do you just LOVE it?!" I told her no, I didn't and I explained exactly why I hated it.
Luckily the flyer came in handy because it was so hot outside I used it to fan myself. She joked that she was glad I had a use for it afterall.
We just got home from the state fair, and I managed to leave without having to be rolled out like Violet Beauregarde.
Did you try any of the new stuff and if so what should I try or avoid?
We did not try any new foods, and DH is a tiny bit annoyed by that this year. We spent a significant amount of time in the Kidway so we didn't really think to go looking for the new stuff. It's harder now that the kids aren't in a stroller anymore.
I was rear ended tonight while taking the kids to Jackson's football practice. The guy who hit me was older (OLDZ!) but he was really nice. The back end of our car is all fucked up - I don't know if it will be totaled or not because it's old, so it's not worth much. Blah.
The whole right side of my body hurts - I think it's because I was twisted in my seat watching traffic (I was at a roundabout). My neck and upper back, ugh. It didn't hurt too badly at the time, but now it does. I think I'm going to go to my doctor tomorrow...maybe they will give me something better than advil.

I'm dealing with something similar after an accident. PT has been a huge help. They're now working on my upper chest area, where the seatbelt hits. It's helping a lot. I guess injury there can cause problems with the upper back. The pain in my neck is inline with where the seatbelt hits on my chest. Anecdote, fwiw, in case it helps.
I laughed so much I just sent the link to my husband. So cute.
Congrats Penguin (& family)! That's great news.
Lololol at PP being compared to brownies with poop in them. Seriously, poop brownies was the best comparison he could come up with!? Wait, I take that back - that sounds about right for somebody with those sorts of arguments.

That actually does because its my upper back and neck. I've had back issues before so I am worried about it being bad again - I had a breast reduction 3 years ago after my last round of terrible back pain and it really helped a lot. I had a bunch of PT and they suggested I pursue a breast reduction when they asked me if that was something I would consider. Anyway since then I haven't had any issues but I'm worried I'll be back in that back issue cycle.
I love PT though; it honestly amazes me. I'm glad it's helping you!

I'm glad my anecdote helps! The back/neck pain I've been having would get slightly better but then my job would aggravate the pain. They finally worked on the pec area and it didn't make sense until I got in my car and put the seatbelt on and that hurt like a mofo. I agree PT is awesome. My PT also does dry needling which was a huge help.

Oh no! I hope a PT is able to help and quickly! That sucks!

Oh no! Hopefully you'll feel better in a couple days. Usually the morning after is the worst, so take it easy today.
