I had one at 4w6d with M and all we could see was a sac. The OB told me that was all she expected to see at that point. I when I went back in sometime in the 7th week we saw the embryo.
We saw very little and I think I first went in at this date frame. We saw the sac, no baby, no HB. We went in the following week and saw baby and HB. Under 6 weeks is VERY EARLY to see anything. You saw the sac and that's GREAT NEWS!!!
Take a deep breath. Everything sounds very positve so far!!!
Yes, I did! I had another ultrasound a week later and saw on then. They adjusted my due date based on the first ultrasound and I delivered a full term baby right on his due date.
I randomly had a positive HPT the night before a doctor's appointment so he asked if I wanted an u/s - he only saw the sac which was a good sign. I was 4w and a few days. I don't think we got a heartbeat flicker until another appointment 2 weeks later.
That's very normal at 5w4d. A few days makes a world of difference at this point in pregnancy. That's why a lot of doctors won't u/s at that stage. Good luck!

Yes! I'm sure if I actually went through my post history on the nest I could find the day that I went in for my first u/s with Babycakes and they couldn't see a heartbeat and the doctor was like...could go either way? I was so beyond upset, my boss sent me home from work and I was crying like an insane person and I know I posted to you all about it too.
My enormous, three-dinner-eating beast of a 6-year old is here to tell you that it's definitely possible.

I had a u/s at 5w (only a sac) and 5w6d and there was just a sac and just a blip of the yolk sac. If you'd like me to post it (a link to the photo) I'm more than happy to do so, if it'd offer relief. Hugs from my experience it's early to see that. I'm now 7w6d and we saw a little bean with a hb. At 6w6d we were finally able to see something.

My OB won't even do an u/s before 7 weeks, and prefers to wait until 8-9 weeks, for the very reason that she doesn't want to cause anxiety since there's nothing much to see yet before then.
I missed your announcement - congrats, and I hope all is well!

I wasn't scheduled until 7w2d, but I've been spotting all week.
I've had two ultrasounds around that time and one (my DS) was just a sac and yolk. No hb. My OB was worried but everything was fine and DS is almost 5 years old.
I had a blighted ovum last summer. At 5w5d there was just a sac. No yolk or fetal pole. My OB (a new one) wasn't worried but unfortunately no embryo ever grew and I miscarried several weeks later naturally.
