We visited our final daycare. Of course it's the absolute best and of course it is the only one that won't guarantee a spot in July. They'll do August, but I need July. Now what?

I have some amazing new coworkers. It has been a long week. We had two days of drop offs with no crying! Tonight my husband and I are going on a date. I feel guilty about being gone all last weekend, going to work all this week, and then leaving them again tonight, but they will be fine. We are going to see a Talking Heads cover band. It should be amazing.
I'm Watching the Wolf of Wall St on Amazon. Sooo good! I forgot how sexy Leonardo DiCaprio is! I think I'm going to binge on Leo movies this weekend, lol.

Can you make do with nannies and grannies for a month? We ended up doing that to get into our first choice.
We are watching a lot of TV today. I wish we weren't, but whenever I do much more than that it feels like I'm having labor symptoms. When I'm sitting down drinking water I'm totally fine. At least my husband was home most of the day, so we were able to tag team it.
I really want this baby to stay in until at least next week. I know once I'm ready to have him he will be stubborn.
Once I put DD to bed I'm eating ice cream and I can't wait. Harris Teeter has a buy 2 things of ice cream get 3 free deal and we have a lot of ice cream in the house.
I am tired of cooking dinner and my kids not eating it. So, we have been having what I call snack dinner. Basically an assortment of healthy or semi-healthy snacks. Raisins, blueberries, cheese, crackers, ham, sliced apples, yogurt and any variation of those.
Tonight it was apple sauce, cheese, crackers, and ham. Last night it was toast with jelly, blueberries, peanuts, and the oldest had a yogurt.
Occasionally I will cook some broccoli or green beans as a vegetable option.
I do this a lot with DD. It's usually when I can get her to eat veggies. She loves carrots with PB.

We are out of state from all family. My mother would totally move in for a month, but I might kill her in that timeframe. Nannies maybe. I could look into that.

We are home from the hospital and I just woke up from an 1.5 nap.
My parents are amazing and offered to keep the boys at their house for one more night. So we haven't had to jump straight into parenting all 3 yet. Little Lily gets to be fooled into thinking she came home to be an only child in a nice quiet house. The IL's still even have our dog.
I met up with my girlfriends and their kids at the park earlier and I totally got sunburnt. I don't know how, since I was in a gazebo in the shade with the moms and babies while DD1 played with the kids. Maybe my back was facing the sun at one point? I'm so annoyed. I had melanoma several years ago and have been so careful ever since.
My kids had their 18m appointment yesterday. I have been looking at fall clothes so randomly decided to look at the size charts. Yeah, Carters thinks both of my 18 month olds should be wearing 12 months. No wonder the 24 month clothes look so huge. My kids are peanuts.
How did the appointment go?
Good! Squeaky is getting an audiology work up at the recommendation of EI. Dr noted Squishy's small weight gain (she's only 19lbs and only gained half a pound...but she never stops moving) but said nothing to do for now. Otherwise healthy!
I just bought sour bears (store brand). Not sour. Booooo.
lame. I bought sour patch kids because they were on sale the other day and they were SO bad - like plain old gummy bears or something. On sale for a freaking reason.

we are totally flying my mom in to cover a week. Doesn't have to be all or none !

Wow, when did my girls get bigger than yours? Mine are still rather skinny but they are at least 31 inches at this point so wearing 18mo. I've been buying 18 month pants and 24mo shirts for the fall/winter.
I'm actually buying mostly the same sizes as you, but now questioning some of the 24m purchase. Squish is 19lbs 12oz and 29.25 inches Squeaky is 23lbs 5oz and 29.75 inches They're short...

We skipped nap because preschool open house was 2-4 (probably why we were the only ones from her class there, lol). Put DD down at 6 and she's asleep, woot! H and I are drinking beers on the roof.

I definitely have some Tea items I bought during that sample sale that are big. I'm hoping they will just grow into them throughout the fall/winter!

DD looks nothing like her brothers did as a newborn. It's so weird. But also kinda nice since the boys look way more like DH and so far it seems like DD looks more like me (actually super similar to my sister as a newborn).
Whoa! How old is your system and how big is your rental? Ours was $150 this month for 2100 sq ft. My parents have been known to get them that high but they keep it at frozen tundra level and have a pool and spa.

DD did resemble DS in the beginning, but as she aged, she looked more like me. After constantly hearing how much DS looks like H (which he does), I loved having a mini-me of my own.
First tri sex is the worst. Especially when your DH overheats and gets a massive headache and wants to take several breaks but not stop... wtf? I am doing this despite wanting to vomit and pass out and you drag it out like this? Ugh. I wish his mood was not entirely dependent on the length of time since he last got laid.

swizz yikes. It might be worth having someone come do a tune up to make sure you're getting the most bang for your buck. We did it a few weeks ago since we just moved into this house and the guy gave a few good suggestions. It was like $60.
I get so mad when I drive by the former Univ hospital site in my city & they are tearing down building, after building, after building. Some not even probably 30yrs old. I feel this way when ever I see buildings decaying or torn down. I guess it's because of my profession in part but it is SO WASTEFUL...of materials, resources, money....millions of tons of steel, glass, bricks, etc. How can we say we "care" about the environment when stuff like this is done day in day out. I mean people replacing perfectly good appliances or windows because they "stick" or are single paned or whatever for "energy efficient" ...it's such bullshit. I do not even consider myself a super "green" person but the big stuff people destroy makes me think most people are either a gigantic hypocrite or just plain stupid.
