It's midnight here so I'm letting that qualify as MOTN bc I need to vent. Major cluster feeding going on here this evening. DD has been in the boob on and off for the last 7 hours. How can she still be hungry?!?
On the plus side, I just weighed myself for the MMM diet bet and I'm down 2 lbs in 3 days. Omg DD is fussing again... Ahhhhhhhhjhj
H and I have stayed up too late drinking wine and talking. The kids will be up in 7 hours. :/ He is on the phone with BIL right now who is telling him some random ass story. #notimportant

It's only 930am here. DD is nursing right now and hopefully should be done soon. She's got a poppy diaper, so hopefully changing it won't puss her off too much and we can get her down and I cam grab an hour or two of sleep before the next feeding.
Last night in the hospital she was a fussy mess, so just praying that it's better now that we are home. She seems to be swollowing more and I hope my milk is in by tomorrow.
DD usually goes to bed at 8 PM. She looked tired so I put her down for a nap at 5:30 PM. I figured she wake up by 630. She didn't wake up! So I woke her up at eight to feed her. This is totally going to throw up her schedule, right? I have a bad feeling she's going to be up at like 4 AM for the day tomorrow!
I swear, I will never learn that I need to fall asleep before MH does. His snoring is OOC. A couple nights I got him to use a nose strip and it was better. I guess he decided he doesn't like them?
Right there with you mcfelix! She eats nonstop right now. She has grown a ton this week so I will cut her a break, that and she is adorable. I am so grateful for Ergo Swaddles, they have been my lifesaver and totally made my nights easier.
I'm having a major cluster feed day/night too. I'm beat. DD is 6 weeks, has been feeding 3-9pm, some diaper changes, 5 minute sleeps here and there. Rest either nursing or fussing because she's not nursing. I had DH try to give her a bottle to give me a break and she refused, followed by an hour of crying. I got her calmed down again, at the boob of course, slept 15 minutes and up again nursing.
I gave up so she's sleeping in the bed with me. Nurse/sleeping. How is she even still awake I don't know...

Totally normal, farmvillelover. Do you have a Moby or Ktan?
We made it until 1:15 for first wake up, but only because the baby would not go to sleep at bedtime. We usually put her down at 8 and didn't get her down until 9:45. She napped a ton today so that might be why.
I really don't know what's going on with DS's sleep this week. He's been all over the place. He only made it two hours before first wake up, but almost four hours before second wake up, I'm guessing it's going to go downhill from here tonight.
Chiming in with the fussy baby and cluster feeding. 6 week growth spurt started with a bang yesterday. I started Friday morning with a happy sweet baby and by 10 am he was a holy terror. He must have exhausted himself from all the fussing he did because he slept 6 hours once I finally got him down. We just woke up.
On wake up #3 with dd. I dont usually change her diaper motn because it wakes her up so much, but it felt so full, and I would like to sleep in a bit tomorrow. I managed to get it done before nursing and without her crying, hopefully she'll still go back down easily after this feeding.
farmvillelover - DD does not want to be put down either. I've given up on using the bassinet or RNP at night. She sleeps much better when she's in bed with me so we are going to continue that for a bit.
farmvillelover, that's my DS too. He doesn't like the swing and tolerates the RNP and any carrier for short periods of time only. I'm working on the carrier thing. Yesterday was awful because I didn't even eat until 3 pm, when my parents came to visit and I essentially threw the baby at them and said please hold him!

2nd wakeup. I want to stop changing diapers MOTN soon, but we do cloth and I think I have to wait till he fits in the BG one size. I do not think the smaller ones can hold all the pee.
I'm so over pregnancy insomnia. Second night in three that I've woken up and been unable to get back to sleep. I know what's coming, body--you don't have to prepare me! Let me sleep now!
You have it early, poor thing.
I'm going to need all the coffee tomorrow. And, of course I wake up at 4 AM hungry. Ugh.
Add me to the list of people with babies that want to be held all the time. My H keeps saying that I trained him to be like this. Yeah, because I want to hold a 10+ pound and growing baby so I can't eat, pee or get anything done all day.
DD woke 3 times overnight. Not to eat, just fussy. I'm thinking about calling to see if it's an ear infection. I'm pumping now and then hoping to sleep another hour or 2 until up for the day. Her naps have been shit so not sure if I'll be able to nap today.
It's only 1030 now and I'm pumping while H is downstairs trying to soothe the baby. Boy, I forgot how rough the first few days/nights were. The baby doesn't seem to want to be put down onto anything (RNP, swing, etc) and just wants to be held all the time.
Remind me, is that pretty normal NB behavior?
I also forgot how rough broken sleep and lack of sleep is.
DS slept on me off and on the first couple months. I was worried but everyone said do what you have to for sleep. He loved being swaddled or held tight.
We're on wakeup #3, DS is having a major sleep regression. He's been up every sleep cycle for no apparent reason. He doesn't even seem that hungry, but I just gave up and am feeding him anyway because it'll make him drowsy. Where did my good sleeper go? Now he's sleeping like a 2.5 month old (which is what he is). I really hope he goes back to only getting up once or twice soon, because I go back to work on Tuesday and I will not be able to function if he's up this much.
Got a stretch of sleep from 1:30-4:45, I really needed that after everything. Nursed while sleeping, no idea how long, back up 6:15 for diaper change and more nursing. Of course now she isn't emptying and she has a morning habit of only feeding on one side so I'm probably going to need to pump. Ughhh. Just want to sleep all day today.
My H is a saint and sent me to bed at 11pm until 3am and handed me the baby for a bit (bc of course he'd wake up when put down). Now my H can't sleep so he's up watching tv while I pump.
awkwardpenguin we have an ergo and stupidly gave away our moby. Gah.
mcfelix we have one of those secure sleeper things that go in our bed but no, he wants to be held. With hands/arms. Wahhh.
I have a black Moby and Isaac HATES it. It's all yours if you want to PM me an address.

Yeah, DS1 slept on me at night until 2.5 months and for naps till 6 months. DS2 is a bit better and will do at least two stretches in the crib at night and naps in swing occasionally. It is tough.
