Was up to run 10 at 6:15. Cat had me up again a million times last night, so I am sure I will crash at some point. Dinner is in the crockpot, and I am ready for a long hot shower before DH and DS get home. Hope everyone has great workouts this weekend!

I was up at 6:30. Ate breakfast then went out for a 30 mile ride. I felt great for about 20-25 miles and then felt like I hit a wall. I expect it has something to do with eating crappy last night, oops. Now for a fun girly day while husband works on his car!

Ran 2 miles before my 10 mile race. Got a 6 minute PR on the 10 mile race then got another 3 miles in. I was chit chatting and should've gotten the other 3 in but I was tired and wanted to relax a bit. I still felt good and could've gotten the other 3 in but I ran backwards down the course and they were shutting it down when I got to 1.5 miles and it wasn't the safest road to be on without the cones since cars were whizzing by at 55 mph.
Also I'm not sure I could've paced my 10 miler any better, first 5 miles averaged 9:20 pace, last 5 miles averaged 9:21 pace.

I asked this in another thread but i will ask it here too. I am training for a half marathon. My training plan has 4 days a week running. But i think i actually obly want to do three do you think it will be okay if i omit one day. It would not be a long run day that i omit obviously. Has many ne trained for a half just doing 3 runs a week?
I was up at 6 for my OWS today. I killed it - like, I seriously impressed the hell out of myself. This also solidifies that I think I am definitely a middle/long distance athlete.
I was 3rd overall female, and got a kick ass beer mug as a prize.

What are your goals, and what weekly mileage would you be hitting?

Honestly i dont really have any other than train and do this half marathon. My training plan has my long runs getting up 12 miles but that is weeks away and then coming bsck down before the half marathon. Before this i usually did 3 miles 3 times a week. Sometimes i would would take my weekend 3 miles and do 5 or 6 instead. I had abdominal procedure done in mid june and took abot 6-7 weeks off before running again. My half marathong is at the end of october

I was up way too early to go mountain biking b/c it's still really not in Atlanta. Lunch as one of my favorite deli-bakeries (mmmm....lemon-blueberry bread!). My mtb got taken to the bike shop for a little spa time and to get a spoke replaced on the rear wheel. Next up is a nap!

Do you do any strength training otherwise? I did my first half doing one longer-ish run a week (6-7) and one short (3-4) plus cf 5 days a week. And I finished in under 2:10. Right now I don't think I'd finish in under 2:30 due to injury and I'm just not as strong as I was a year ago.

If you add in some cross training, I would think you would be fine
