So the washer never leaked when we ran it last night. We didn't have any clothes in it so maybe it just overflowed the other time? Except it wasn't a big load...
We are really confused and don't want to continue with the basement reno until it's figured out. UGHHHHH
Are the hoses in the back all good? Ours was leaking in the beginning because the installer crossed the hot and cold, we switched them and there was no longer an issue.
I'm sorry chirpchirp and EmmieB1025 my H didn't have the reaction I wanted him to when I told him about Calvin but he came around and was telling me how excited he was the next couple days. I hope your husbands do the same.

Yep, we checked the hoses. Washers are complicated!

So, due to some upcoming family things where we would not be able to control other peoples' mouths, we told A about the baby. Apparently, she thinks there's a baby in my belly because I would like super big boobies. Just a side effect kid, not a requisite.
DH asked me a couple of weeks ago what I wanted for my birthday and I can't think of anything other than more books for my classroom. He thought it was a little silly to get books for teaching instead of ask for something for myself, but I think I might push the issue. I've realized I have very few people of color represented in my books (rather, a smaller percentage than I'd like).
Thus far, I've been getting book from Ebay lots and some at Half Price Books and yard sales, but sadly, those are less available used, so I need to just spend the money to buy them new.
Amelia's play date party last night went pretty well. We had lots of pizza left over and so I sent one family home with almost a whole pizza. My husband is an idiot though and called me at the party wondering what I'm doing and what's for dinner despite me telling him like 10x over two weeks including that morning I was planning this. I'm sad everyone's going back to school and the awesome playgroup we had going is going to fall apart
Now I'm baking cake pops cupcakes and smash cake for her dinner tomorrow. I still need to wrap and put together her doll stroller. And do two term papers
My husband said to me in the same conversation - I think I'm coming down with a cold. (The rest of us already have one.) Then a few minutes later he asked me to pick him up some of those "nose things" at CVS.
So, I picked him up these:
Nope. That's not what he wanted. Apparently, he wanted these:
Um, what? I was supposed to make that connection? My H is killing it this week.

I almost went crazy on this lady in the parking lot today. First of all she came speeding through and didn't stop for pedestrians coming out of a store and almost backed into my kid. I was shaking I was so mad. I don't even care if I was that loud woman yelling in the parking lot. I hate people that put the safety of others at risk especially my kid. I seriously don't know what I would have done to her if she hit him. I'm so thankful I was quick enough to keep him from danger. I officially hate most drivers today. No wonder I stay home most weekends.
Noah has not eaten much today and now has a temp of 100.4 and fell asleep an hour before bedtime...I'm afraid of what's coming. He was supposed to go to church with my in laws tomorrow and my h and I were gonna go on a brunch date. I'm really sad to cancel our date but I hope Noah feels better soon

We are finally potty training. 7 pees, no accidents. When we tried around his birthday he was just so miserable about it, he seems really excited this time, hopefully that's a good sign. Unfortunately we've basically offered this kid the moon to train.
Of course my H posted on fb about Daniels success today and tagged me in it, it could have been worse (basically just showing him playing with a Lego set he got for such a great day) but still!

We went to Target and the power was out (high winds here), but they were still open. There were a few lights on, but mostly it was dark. Patrick keeps a little flashlight on his key ring and he gave it to Zoe. She flashed it at us to make shadows on the walls and made monster noises. She's such a creep.
