S/o credit cards -- negotiate your annual fees!!!

I've called Barclay at least 5 times, and they will NOT offer anything for my Arrival+ $89 fee. I spoke to a supervisor today, and he was actually pretty rude about it. I ended up downgrading to the free version, and will probably cancel the card. Downgrading the card also cost me all of the points I've earned this billing cycle, so I also lost out on $42 in rewards.

So...what are people using now? I'd like to have one main card (no airline/hotel-specific rewards, general travel rewards are fine). Any feedback on the Citibank double cash back?

I wish I had been successful with this with my Sapphire Preferred card. Tried twice, no luck

v do you mind sharing what card this is? I might get it when my year is up with Barclays.

Thanks v. I also need to sign up for global entry and they reimburse the $100 for that so if I time everything it might be worth the fee for a year.
