Like RexManningDay I was also led to believe that Hooters was basically one step down from a strip club, and even though people have told me otherwise, I still have not been there.
I have heard great stuff about their wings, and the Hooters buffalo sauce sold in the grocery store IS really delicious....I don't understand why the women have to wear short shorts, and tight shirts that show off cleavage? I DEFINITELY would not be taking my picture (or my kid) with them, I feel like it would be awkward.
Whenever Hooters comes up I feel like I'm the only person on earth who doesn't like their food.
If I did like it, I still wouldn't take my son there to pose with the waitresses. It's like a crash course in objectification with a side of fried food!

We go to hooters every once in a while. My boys are 10 & 8 and they do not even notice the waitresses. They like the tvs and the wings. I wouldn't take a picture of them with waitresses but at that age they don't think of the half dressed factor.

On a side note when my nephew was 17 he went out with a bunch of friends for dinner and since it was after 9:00 they wouldn't let them into Buffalo Wild Wings so they walked across the sidewalk to Hooters where they were allowed in.

I don't see an issue with taking kids to hooters but there is no need for pictures. The way teenagers (and some inappropriate adults) dress these days, hooters girls are more covered up. I went to pick up my friend for girl's night and her sitter shows up with with shorts so small that I know my little panties were bigger. She paired the little shorts with a tiny crop top.

I wouldn't do it. I think Hooter's food is not really delicious and I can buy more inexpensive crappy food elsewhere. I wouldn't turn my nose up at having a beer and nachos there with friends if that's where everyone wanted to go but I wouldn't seek it out as a family.

Right, but in this case, your babysitter chose that outfit on her own and, as far as I know, you didn't choose her as a babysitter because you knew how she would be dressed. I fully support all women choosing to dress however they like, but I will not be taking my son -- or my daughter -- to an establishment that has the express purpose of treating women as objects.
