Clerk duties are not religious exercises. Not a first amendment issue.
I feel like there is a recent movement to try to make everything a religious exercise and it scares me. And I don't know if it is a well coordinated plan or if there are all these special snowflakes out there filing lawsuits because they feel persecuted. I'm thinking of everything from the Oregon wedding cake bakers to Hobby Lobby to this clerk right here.

Sort of it can get you out of combat duty but not out if serving during draft times. Typically depending on their type f CO combat (killing others) or war in itself they would be assigned to non-combat roles or to home fires type roles through certain programs (filling necessary work positions to keep the country going)
