This movie looks boring to me. I mean, she likely has a moment with a music montage where she ruminates on all she missed with her children's growing up, right? While looking wistful, but then again she's creative and an enormous success so what she gave to the world is worth it, right?
Really? That's good to hear, because it looks...not very good...in the previews. I love Meryl, and she's great in every role she takes, but she has been in some baaad movies. I may give it a shot when it hits HBO. Glad you had a good time though!

It was okay, but not absolutely fabulous. Now RICK was fabulous! ::swoon:: Not bad for 66.
I did kind of like the fact that they did not glamorize the fact that she left her small children to follow her dream. Lots of movies make it sound all fun and games without touching on how it can affect families over time.

I think this is what I liked most about it. Buuuuuut, I think it could have gone a bit more in depth about the effect on the kids. However, it's mostly from the POV of Ricki, so I can see why they didn't.
