is nuts!! I ran with friends at Alki this morning. We finished up breakfast around 12:45-1ish. The plan was to drop my one friend off in Kenmore, then my other friend in Bothell/Mill Creek, then I was going to head home.
Oh my gosh you guys. After unsuccessfully trying to get off I-5 around Lake City Way then Ballinger.... we just said fuck it and drove up to Bothell, dropped my one friend off then took my Kenmore friend with me.
We got back to my apartment at 4oclock. 3 HOURS! I'm so beat down.
Finally just dropped my Kenmore friend off and am back at home.
To add insult to injury, I couldn't sleep at all last night. So, I got about 2 hours of sleep, ran 10 miles then had to deal with that.
I hope everyone is doing okay - there are a ton of downed trees, tons of stop lights without power so please stay home if you can and if you must go out, please drive very very carefully!
I went out this morning when the wind was the worst down here. It was a little crazy but not horrible. Our power did go out for most of the day though which is a bit of a pain when we have house guests and had more people stopping by and no power. We thankfully have it back on now, it's gone out 2 or 3 times since it came back on at 6. We are lucky for no damage to anything.

Our dinner date was cancelled due to no power. We were all way bummed. I ran in it after the rain had stopped. It made for a harder run but I was able to keep my hat. Calling it a win.
