I should get back on this, but I think I'm going to have to move it up by 5 seconds a day or something. I'd be happy to get to three minutes total.
I mean, planks have been part of my workout routine on and off, but more along the lines of doing 60-90 seconds at a time and doing them more than once, and in different positions, rather than do plank for minutes and minutes at a time. I regularly do 60-second planks, but getting past 90 seconds is really hard for me even though I'm in pretty good shape.
Are you guys doing it barefoot or in shoes? I don't know why, but I swear it is easier with shoes. (I realize the point isn't to make it easier, just an observation!) LOL When I did this in the spring, I got to 210 before I lost interest. I didn't really follow the program and do it daily, but I was able to keep increasing. Anyway, 150 (barefoot) was tough and I really wasn't sure how I was going to bump up to 180...but then I tried for 180 (I had just come back from a run, so I was in shoes) and I sailed past 180 and went right on to 210. The next time I tried I was barefoot again, and I about died trying to get to 180.
