My mom wanted some of my cream puff and I was like "Uh, no." And she was like "It's my birthday!"
And I told her that she knows I don't share food and I'd go buy her one of her own. After which she informed me that she had nobody to blame for the way I turned out but herself.
Bringing small children with you means you don't get to half of the food you meant to eat, but i still did damage, lol.
Sweet Martha's cookies and milk (which I always have as Fair breakfast)
Cheese curds
Cinnamon and sugar crepe
Half of a raspberry and whipped cream crepe
Mega Gyro
Giant coke
Half of my kid's corn dog
I never got to the Tikka on a Stikka and I heard it was amazing. Boo.
A distributor from my work gave me two coins that are worth a full bucket of Sweet Martha's each. I plan to get one bucket in the morning and one on the way out. Yum.
And every single year I say I'm going to try the chocolate covered bacon and then I forget about it until we're on the way home, this year was no exception, dammit.
Someday I'm gonna do this damn fair without children in tow. Mark my words.
I like to go during the week when they're at school. I get in cheap and can do all of the stuff my damn kids prevent me from doing.
There has never been a bigger drawback to our kids not starting until the day after Labor Day. This is fucking brilliant.
we went on thursday and i tried the blueberry beer, the cinnamon beer - both nasty - and only had cheese curds and italian sausage with no green peppers because they were out this is why i'm making dh go again this week. he was the idiot who decided to go with "newer" friends so there was that awkward "what do you want to do" "where do you want to go" shit. no dh - i can't be bothered with that, i need fair food lol!!

When I went to the WI State Fair about 5 years ago, I was being really good and wanted to keep losing weight, so I had Subway. At the state fair. I ate a Subway sandwich.
