I woke up feeling guilty because last night, in a dream, I made out with Jake Gyllenhaal. Apparently he's worth cheating on my husband with? It might have been more than making out...the details are fuzzy now. Oh well, what my DH doesn't know about wont hurt him. lol!!

I'm heading to our new city to check out the house and take some measurements. Best part is my appointment is at noon so the inlaws will be in charge of putting L down for a nap. Not my problem today!
Obviously you need make a trip to buy some EB ponte pants!
I have rethought it. I can't buy them yet. I can't justify buying pants in this size right now. I have enough stretchy pants (lol!) I continue wearing now as I lose weight. I might not be in my old clothes when I have to go to work so I have to save $ in case that happens, lol!
Trying to get ready for work in the morning on my own with two kids are trying my patience. DS was up for the day before 6:00 and is fussy, DD is fine today except that she just woke up too early, so I have to keep an eye on her, too. I seriously have core memories of my mom getting so upset with us in the mornings, so I'm trying hard not to show my frustration, but UGH. I just want to put my makeup on in peace.

I'm on my second cup of tea already just because I can. I limited myself to one cup when pregnant/nursing so for over two years. Yet another perk of weaning! Unlimited caffeine!

My kid is turning into such a big kid. He came to me to ask for help getting something out of the bottom of his toy box yesterday and now he is eating cereal and milk out of a bowl with a spoon. And not making a giant mess.
My mom is the best ever. She cooked us dinner last night, then babysat J while we went over to clean out the old apartment. Side note, I am never moving again. We have to go back to our old place again this morning for our final walk through with management, and I am so over it. My old building got sold and is being converted to condos. I'm not sure why we need to do such a big cleaning and walk through if they're just gutting the apt now anyways. Just give us our deposit back!
In happier news, finally have our new cable and Internet set up. And I got a dvr box for my bedroom tv! Only took Verizon 5 hours to get it all configured correctly.
I feel like I have no energy and no time. I end up eating takeout most nights because we are completely wiped after waking up at 5, working jobs that are more stressful than they have ever been, and doing baby stuff from 5:15-8. We then have 8-10 to eat dinner, clean, do laundry, prep for the next day, work out, sometimes do work we had to take home (every night last week for me) and relax. Relaxing almost always wins because we are exhausted. I am not getting up earlier than 5, so I don't know what to do to get more done.
Oh well. Only three more days to a four-day weekend!

We're having limited success with the spoon. This morning he held the spoon in his right hand but ate with his left hand about 50% of the time. He's pretty good with preloaded spoons but doesn't really get the dipping/scooping just yet. When did your L get this and any tips?
Day one of being childcare from 6am-3pm and working from 3pm until 10pm+. It's already awful. I really hope this daycare situation is sorted out before dh's surgery on the 17th. Because I don't know how I can possibly do full time kid duty for 4 weeks and also accomplish work.

Yup, right there with you but I get up at 4:15 due to a long commute . It just feels like there aren't enough hours in the day. We both need that hour or so after dinner to just relax before going to bed so not much gets done until the weekend or DH's day off on Tuesday.

We started with yogurt because he loves it. Maybe a month or two ago? (16ish months?) it made (makes) a giant mess. He does a lot of dabbing in the yogurt and then licking the spoon. For some reason the cereal clicks for him- maybe because he can balance it on the spoon?

Yogurt is a good idea. I usually give him preloaded yogurt spoons but I think I'll try a bowl next time.

He's been using a (real) fork for awhile too, so he's had some practice with the stabbing motion. We found that the plastic forks didn't work well, so we give him a dessert sized metal fork. He eats a lot better with one because he sees us doing it.
I'm going to try a new class at the gym this morning. With DS1 going to preschool on t/th starting next week, I'm excited about getting back into the 9am drop off followed by the 9:15 class routine that I was in last school year. It's a lifting class which has always intimidated me but it's with one of my favorite instructors. Should be fun! I have ideas of going to piyo like I normally do later but I'm anticipating that I'll be sore and dying.
Now that it's September, I'm looking forward to ripping out my annuals and planting mums and stuff but I've never really done the autumn gardening. Usually I get really excited in April/May, spend a ton of money on flowers and perennials and then burn myself out. Anyone have any tips? Mums are out so I'm assuming I can plant them anytime now?
Well today has to be better than yesterday. Sunday night was so so rough. We had a pedi appt yesterday morning and I couldn't hold back tears and kept crying during the appt. I was just so tired and my boobs hurt. I was at the end of my rope. Asked our pedi to check DD for lip or tongue tie since she has a shallow latch. He didn't see anything but recommended we call a lactation consultant from a different hospital than where I delivered bc she's awesome. Meanwhile I wanted to punch his little intern in the face, after he looked at DD, said she was fine, and then said that ties are not as common as people think. Fuck you buddy, this is my second kid and I know something is not right.
I call the LC and she was able to come to our house yesterday evening. She was fantastic. She said DD has a lip and tongue tie and showed it to us. She also said she could see the trauma on my nipples. So now I am exclusively pumping until she can get clipped. I hate pumping but I am glad we know what the issue is and how to fix it.
I will call the dentist she recommended this morning and hope he can fit us in ASAP.

DD slept like crap last night. She's been sleeping through the night for the last 6 months then the last week shes been waking up at 4ish, still tired, but crying in her crib. I hold her, put her back down. Usually works, not last night, been up since 3L30
I can't figure out whats going on. Don't think its teeth, she got her first four molars in, but they seem to be all the way in.
I dont know, I'm exhausted. Then when I'd try to get a few minutes of sleep between her wake ups, I had the worst dream. I dreamt that I was sleeping and heard a noise and saw someone on the monitor taking DD from her crib. It was awful, couldn't go back to sleep, seemed so real. I'm delirious right now.

I have a job interview at 9:45. It's actually an oral exam in that I'll be scored on my answers and the top 3-4 candidates move on to final interviews. It's a management level position that is meant for me. And my daughter decided to be awake crying from 10:15-1:15. Teeth?? Who knows. I slept for 1.5 hours and then was awake for 3 hours. I'm exhausted and I really hope my performance isn't shit because I'm so tired.
My kid is well into the "I want" stage. We keep asking her to say please, but ugh.
Then when I went to say bye she ignored me b/c she was too busy staring at the little boy sitting next to her. I said to his dad, "uh oh, already ignoring mom for a boy" and the dad says the little boy asks for E as soon as he wakes up! Whoops!
I bought the Old Navy rockstar maternity skinny jeans. OMG they are so cute. So so cute. Everyone who si prenant should buy them.
Tomorrow is my NT scan. I am excited but nervous. Mostly nervous because Im old and worried that something will be wrong because Im old. Im know it will probably be fine but I cant wait until tomorrow monring comes and goes.
The coyotes (in the preserve behind our house) are pissed about something and so loud this morning it woke me up. But I got a pretty decent nights sleep even though I went to bed late (1130).
I might load the stroller in the van and take a long walk at the outlet mall with DS. I've never taken the stroller (city mini gt) to the mall before since I normally wear him. Is it going to be a huge PITA?
My BFF is being induced RIGHT NOW and I am so nervous/excited!!
My BFF had her baby last week and I felt the same way. I had to try really hard to reign it in and not send her constant texts! Good luck, hope baby arrives soon!
Today, I feel rested in the first time in a very long time. DS STTN again, finally (he's been waking once MOTN since we got back from vacation). AND I didn't get up to pee once.
I stayed in bed for almost 9 hours!
Also, we have Red Sox/Yankee tickets for tomorrow's game. I didn't realize it was a 4:05 game. I could work a half day, but I think I'm going to be 'sick' and take the whole day. But then if I'm fake sick, I can't post on FB about it. Decisions, decisions.
My 14 year old daughter tried to go to school wearing an outfit that looked a lot like this.
I made her go back and change and she tried to sneak out with the crop shirt under a longer tee. Try again! I was a teenage girl before! I know that trick!
