Yes, I know there is a sticky thread, but I wanted to make my own thread also!
Sydney woke up and it was as though she was floating on clouds all morning! She was so excited for school to start! She didn't want to eat breakfast (she thought there wasn't enough time), she insisted of putting her clothes on herself, and she put on her backpack like 20 minutes before we left the house. I, however, have been a mess. I kept crying all morning. It was ridiculous! We got to school and she wanted to run straight onto the playground with the rest of the kids. When it was time to go onto the playground, she ran right up to her teacher (Mrs. Book...I love her name!) and gave her a big hug. She wasn't sad one bit, and I had to force her to give us goodbye hugs. I held it together and didn't let her see me cry, but it was so hard to leave. My parents took me out to breakfast, which was a nice way to keep my mind from missing her.
She's so sweet. So do you have a kid/teaching free day Tuesday's?
Yes! Now I have Tuesday mornings to myself. Half of the weeks will be spent at Mops, and I'm hoping to get to volunteer in her classroom one of the other weeks.
She had a wonderful day! She was not happy to see me when I came to pick her up, because she wanted to stay and rest with the full-day kids. I took her out for ice cream, so that got her out the door!
Oh my! Look how sweet she is! She looks so happy and excited to go!
I feel ya on the crying part. A's first day is tomorrow and I've been crying every night since Meet the Teacher last Friday. Hopefully I can keep it together in the morning. Ugh.

I hope tomorrow goes well for both of you! My tears all happened when she wasn't looking, so I'm happy that I held it together in front of her. I hope A has a smooth transition and you are okay in the morning! Let me know how it goes!
