DS1 loves minions and I don't know how. He's never seen DM, the shorts or commercials with them but he gets so excited every time we see a display in a store.
Ha, so does AJ. One day he saw a commercial on the tv at home and was all "MINYIH! MINYIH!". We're assuming he saw commercials at the sitter's or something. We ended up with a Minion happy meal toy from McD's a while back that yells "BANANA!" so now if you ask him what a Minion says he says "Banana!". Oy.
I think I'd rather go to the grocery more often than try and meal plan/have a fully stocked fridge/freezer/pantry.
Because I am horrible at actually using it all. I need to go through the freezer, I know I have a small fortune of, more than likely, freezer burned meat, that I bought whenever I was at Sam's over the last year. I just, I don't use it. I buy huge trays, take the time to separate it, mark it, and freeze it, and then say meh, and pick up fresh ground beef or whatever to use when I'm cooking. So wasteful. I think I'll make a few epic batches of various chilis and then just start shopping more often to stop the madness.
They paid for 10 and now its 12 paid. They also increased paternity to 6 weeks paid. I had hoarded PTO so I could take 13 weeks and now I have two weeks extra PTO I can use!
Oooh nice! I hoarded my PTO before ML so I could get paid the full 12 weeks, and when I came back from ML I discovered I had two extra weeks in my PTO bank because I apparently suck at math. Knowing I had that in there was really nice for the first 6 months-just in case AJ got sick or something like that.

Do we have the same kid? Ds1 calls them "little guys" and picked out a pack of undies with them.

I just sent in a request with my new plan - still take 13 weeks (12 paid and 1 PTO) BUT would use PTO if I am overdue so I won't have to work if I go over 40 weeks. My practice lets us go a max of one week over and I am due on a Monday so I could use up to 6 days but not having to work will be so much better than working. And I will have an extra week PTO to come back to if baby preppy is sick!

DS was up from 230-4 last night just happy and cooing. DH forgot to tell me he had some random meeting today so he was up with me too but now I feel bad. I would have made him sleep downstairs.

I'm waiting for the baby before getting the minions movie. He will lose his mind!

I find that I am much more likely to use big batches of frozen bolognese/soup/etc than I am to use a frozen pound of meat. I'm not sure why but I just try to plan my Costco trips when I know I'll have some time to do a few freezer meals.

Maybe?! Mine picked out a kid sized silverware set and asks for "mih mih" (pointing at the silverware drawer) at every meal.
Oh and she lost the privilege of picking her clothes out so of course I didn't pick her a dress. She may freak out.
DD gets a choice every morning: dress or pants / shorts. I don't have the time to let her mull all the options. She seems somewhat ok.
DD only wants to wear dresses. I am peeved I spent time looking for shorts this summer at all. Unfortunately, she also wants to pick out her dress, which means holding her up in front of the closet while she looks at each one.
I did put her in shorts this morning, and she flipped for a minute. Oh well.
DD woke up at 520am with wet clothes. I must have put her diaper on funny and sh was laying on her side a bit.
It's so hard when she wakes up in the early 5 o'clock hour because by them time I change her diaper and nurse her and get her back to sleep isn't worth me going back to sleep since I need to be up by 630 ish to get DS1 ready for school.
A. I cried most of the way to work today for no damn reason. H and I were having a phone conversation about our plans this weekend, which we couldn't agree on, but it wasn't even an argument or anything. Freaking hormones.
2. I had a creepy voicemail on my work line when I got in this morning. The person called at 5pm yesterday and left a message that just says, in a whispering tone, "Hi, First Name Last Name, hi." And then hangs up. The number then called back one minute later and left a voicemail that was two minutes of radio silence. I'm going to be killed in my sleep, aren't I?
I'm dropping DS off at the ILs this afternoon so I can run errands. I'm leaving them a big bottle of pumped milk so I can shop leisurely. I can't wait!
Had a rough morning today. I fed the baby so I could help DS get ready for daycare to give him a little one on one time with me. Yesterday he scraped his hand up on the playground so he is really protective of it. Went to pull his shirt off and he pulled a little on the band aid and he freaked out at it hurting then refused to come near me. I felt so bad just with the way he was looking at me and I know it does hurt.
In the meantime the baby had a messy diaper and was screaming while DH changed him so between both kids crying their heads off my boobs were leaking everywhere. Yayyyy.

Once A was able to pick her own clothes, I rearranged them, so she can reach them herself. It is messier, but makes life easier for all of us. The which dress battle was annoying, and made worse by her no sleeves rule. Once I took myself out of the equation I was much happier. I have to do M's dresser soon
