I'm with @this and I am dying that "tula in the wild" is a thing. I mean, everything else aside, I doubt most women wear their tulas "in the wild." Target does not count.
I am imagining a nature documentary narrated by some old guy with a British accident: "Now we happen upon the subjects in their native habitat, a Target store, where they are stocking up on Annie's organic mac n cheese, California Baby sunscreen, and perhaps some cheap decor items knocked off from Pottery Barn. These moms would never attempt to enter the less hospitable environment of Wal-Mart, but here, they feel right at home."
Is now a good time to mention I hate all stickers on cars? I don't CARE about your stick family, or that your dachshund is "smarter than" my honor student.
And don't get me started on pro-life stickers. They make me want to key someone's car.
That is my "get off my lawn!" moment.
I agree. But I do kind of want a NARAL license plate. H is against it, because he's afraid I'd get into fights over it
I could get on board with this. Not the fighting. lol
Actually, I was kind of wondering about this. I'm in a BWI chapter group for my city and it's quite clear that a lot of them don't vaccinate. What's with the correlation between baby wearing and not vaccinating? It's irritating because I can't take my kid to chapter meetings or get info on learning new carries because I know a lot of the kids aren't vaccinated.

You are joking, but when I told a friend I was going school supply shopping outside the city as long as I had a rental car, she made me promise I would go to a Target and not a Wal-mart.
Well, I have a secret greeting when I see other Hispanic moms out and about. We look at each other and say, "hola."
When I see other cool as Moms sipping on wine out of a sippy up on the sly, I'm all HOLLA! And they are all like " the motherfucking eagle has landed bitches" and then we chest bump. It's fucking awesome.
I'm so glad to bring entertainment to your Wednesday I first noticed the mini van with the stickers at a consignment sale 2 weeks ago...then first day of preschool I see it in the preschool parking lot... Today I was parked next to it so took a stealth photo so I could remember all the different stickers because there are so many.
@natariru the school cannot disclose who is and is not vaccinated. However when we toured last winter I asked if it was required and what % had religious exemptions and she said it was only 2-3 families out of 180, which seemed really good to me. I bet this family was one of them because there is an older brother that is probably in the 4 or 5 year old classroom. His little sister is in DD's class.
I'm hoping it's just a delayed vaxxing family as there are a lot of those in town and what I'm seeing now is the super crunchy anti-vaxxing families are forming their own preschool co-ops and plan to homeschool because they have a very strong bias against public school and most are non-religious so a church preschool would be out of the question as well. Quite a few go to montessori programs or waldorf programs as well.
isabel the babywearing tie in is just that they are crunchy. So breastfeeding, co-sleeping, cloth diapering, and baby-wearing all attract the same people and many eat only organic, shun dairy and soy, and don't vaccinate.
I have running stickers on my car, a 13.1 and 26.2. Also an IAFF sticker since my H is a fireman. You all are making me embarrassed of my running stickers!
Although I always know it's my silver minivan in the Target parking lot
That's the website the sticker from the original post is from. It's mildly terrifying.
One shirt says "I embrace the healing properties of Essential Oils. What do you do?"
I vaccinate.
So I'm going to say it's about a 5% chance they vaccinate.
I wanted a Tula, but now I don't. I would go around being terrified someone would yell "TULA IN THE WILD" at me. And then I would burst into tears. It would be good way to break this cycle they've created.

Yeah, I mean, I get it. I guess I just want to find my people. Babywearing, semi-organic, paper(!) diapering people. lol
I just watched that YouTube video. OMG. No. I also thought it was "ca-CAW"
Also the way she said "Tula," with the hard emphasis on the "t." I have always thought it was pronounced like Tula from My Big Fat Greek Wedding.
I have the Folk Birds, but I don't have those sections on my shoulder straps. Is this one of those really fancy $1000 versions, or did she hack her Tula to have those patches made?

I thought those were just those drool pads people put on their carriers.
