HoneySpider my parents are both alumni and HUGE Pitt fans. Like super annoying about it, get upset when they lose, talk shit about their coach, etc. They normally go to their bowl game every year even if it is super obscure. So I will be well aware of their record this season (particularly for basketball but football as well).
I think I'd get alone very well with your parents
When I was in college I was the sports editor of the student paper, so I got to travel to a lot of games including bowl games and NCAA tournament games. It was awesome. Now as an adult who has to pay her own way.....well, not so much. But I watch everything on tv.
DH is a dire hard fan of his alma mater (UC) and we're season ticket holders. I'm looking forward to actually enjoying it this year, usually I'm pregnant or stuck at home with a nursing baby. Until we get out of this godforsaken conference, I'm not getting excited. Should be good though, the stadium has undergone complete renovations in the last year. And they serve beer . We have a really fun tailgating group.
What I'm REALLY looking forward to is when our two alma maters play each other in a few weeks. We've had a hotel room in Oxford booked for months, inlaws in town to watch the kids. I'm preparing myself to feel really old, but hell, I'm going to be drunk and eating Bagel & Deli uptown at 3am so it won't be all THAT different than 11+ years ago.. shortstax6fsn..JEALOUS
I just saw this and I'm SO JEALOUS!
I would kill to be back at Oxford eating an afterburner bagel at 3am. Or a Szczerbiak. YUM (hot)
