I have a set of Correll dishes I bought when we moved in together 8 years. No issues with them. We have a set of Mikasa dishes we got for our wedding as our "nice set"...but they've been used twice.

I can't find the exact ones we have online except at replacements.com but we have plain white Thomson Pottery dinnerware (from BBB) that are doing great 7 years later. BBB has different white sets now. We use them for everything since we don't have fancy china.
I love my Corelle set and have no intention of buying anything else ever. Relatively inexpensive, pretty, hard to break, no cutting marks like with stoneware, lightweight, and so thin I can stack tons of them in the cabinet.

We've been using Crate & Barrel Aspen every day for 10 years. They're pretty cheap (around $5 for a dinner plate) and have held up beautifully. The kids use the salad plates and it's the perfect size, IMO.
Ours are the Anna pattern (don't laugh at me!) from Crate & Barrel. The desert plates have a little flower, but the regular dishes and bowls are all white. They look great after 13 years of use.
The daughter of a friend told me they were made by Villeroy and Boch for BB&B. Not sure if that's true. Mine have held up well. Even the bowls which look like The Cat in the Hat stacked them in the cupboard.
I have a set of Correll ones that I really like. They aren't super fancy, but they are plain and hold up really well. I've definitely dropped them on the kitchen floor once or twice and was impressed that they didn't break. My parents have a Correll set that they've been using since when I was a kid, so they last a long time
I'm about to get some from IKEA. So cheap and I've heard they hold up great.
Ikea holds up well, I have had the same set for almost 12 years, they are just so damn ugly that I want new ones... I wish these things would break so I could splurge on something new (ps mine are the the plain blue ones) They are super heavy though, and made our previous cabinets sag (cheap build your own HD cabinets).
They are very basic, but I love our ikea 365 white dishes. Additionally, they are super cheap so I don't care at all about them chipping or breaking. I just buy more every time I'm there. No grey marks that I've noticed.

I was just mentioning to DH how convenient it is to buy them piece by piece.
