Any one want to recommend their bank in Massachusetts?
Looking for a free checking account for salary direct deposits and irregular Debit Card purchases. We would also like to have a "savings" account as a holding space for money before moving out to investments or when saving for smaller purchases. We'd like a bricks and mortar bank out of habit, but could be convinced otherwise (especially since it seems that the main problem is getting quarters?)

We use TD Bank as our brick & mortar bank but keep minimal funds in there, but its convenient if we need to cash a check or get a bank check or anything like that. I use CapitalOne360 for my main checking and savings accounts.
We used Santander because of the $20/month interest program.
This exactly. I have been with Sovereign/now Santander forever. The $20 checking/savings account is great. There are quite a few ATMs and convenient locations. I really have no complaints.

Salem Five. It's a regional bank based in Salem ma. I do all my banking with them and it includes FREE use of all ATMs plus they reimburse atm fees. I do all my banking online or via app. They are super nice too!! They have a good amount of locations on the north shore but you will have to check their website for proximity to Worcester.
I love DCU. Its free, I like their online banking and app. They seem to have a good amount of locations but I rarely go in. I get paid a day in advance.
Are you in the Boston/northish area? Century Bank is a local bank and they're terrific. I've been with them nearly 20 years now, I think. Maybe more.
There is a Century bank about 200 yards away from my house. I use Eastern though because I just can't think of a good reason to switch and there is an Eastern about a mile away.

Didn't realize you used CapitolOne360 for your checking! I guess I have never noticed when you have written me a check. I love CapitolOne360 but use Eastern for my checking!
