s/o Dining room.. these chairs in black or white?

Of those, I only like the last ones. The first and third look like banquet hall chairs, and the second looks like patio furniture. I think you need more substantial chair and/or more substantial (or at least built in) cushion to get away from that.

Having seen your other inspiration pic, I think you'd be happier with the white-- they'll give the room an airier feel.

Overall I prefer black, but I'd need to see the actual room/ color scheme they are going to go in.

I much prefer the black in the style of the last photo. I like the look of the white color in theory but don't like the particular chairs you posted. Like someone else mentioned they feel more like outdoor, patio, beachy furniture.
