Definitely get a double. My kids are almost five years apart and I still got use out of it. When you are exhausted and outnumbered, a double stroller is your friend.
Do it. Mine will be 24-25 months apart and I already have two double strollers. I mean, they're no-name brand handmedowns, so not necessarily MMM endorsed strollers, but... FREE.
Also, my son is a runner if he's not in the stroller. If you use your stroller daily, I can't imagine not getting a double.
I'm always intrigued by how many people swear by double strollers. I have twins and I use mine probably less than once a week. I wear one and use a single stroller everyday, so if I had differently aged kids I guarantee I'd wear the littler one. BUT, how you use a stroller for kid number one is probably a really good predictor for how you'll want to use it with two kids. Since you use yours daily now you'll almost definitely want a double.

I thought about doing this for daycare drop offs and pick ups but then realized it's a recipe for getting puked on before work. Not that I don't babywear, cause I do, a lot but I can't risk it pre-work. Also, my toddler sometimes throws a fit when I wear the baby, then demands that I put him down and carry his 34 lb ass instead.

I can definitely see me wearing one and pushing the single, but my mom watches mine and I know she won't wear the baby because she thinks it's crunchy .
Babywearing is awesome, but haters gonna hate and all. For grandparent babysitting I would invest in a double for sure!

Ha, yeah. We used to put the spitty baby in the stroller to avoid this problem (we had two to choose from so it worked out that one rarely spit up, ha). But neither of us had particularly formal jobs and if that happened we'd probably just run home and grab a new shirt. And one of my 18 month olds hasn't broken 20lbs yet so I suspect by the time she's 34 lbs she won't want to be worn anymore! So apparently my strategy works well partially due to the nature of my children.

I rarely use my tandem since my twins switched to convertible seats. I just carry them into stores and put them in a cart. I have a double jogger for walks and the zoo. I've never tried baby wearing but have considered it and buying a cheap umbrella to get rid of my tandem.

We have the B-Agile double. I am not sure if it is different based on the year. But the canopy is little low. If you have a tall child it may be hard for them to fit. My DD1 is tall, 40 in and the canopy touches the top of her head. The weight it fine, but the height is tight. With the single B-Agile, the canopy sits higher

This is helpful, thanks! My kid is short but definitely good to know.

What kind did you have?
I had a Valco tri-mode twin (can be turned into a triple stroller) and still have a Thule Chariot Cougar 2, which is a stroller/jogger/bike trailer combo (and can also be used for hiking/skiing).
We have the britax double and it does get use, but not very often. DD1 is 3 so we didn't anticipate a ton of use, though, so I waited until I had a bunch of kohls cash and rewards to use with gift cards. I will probably sell it next year, because DD1 is already almost too tall for it. Great for the OC Boardwalk! We've used it there a bunch this summer.
For doubles we have a Valco Tri Mode Twin (that we use with Joey seat for a triple), a City Select, and Maclaren Twin Triumph.
My mom was using the Valco daily to walk to the park with the kids but now J is walking and she uses the City Select. I love my Valco as a triple but I think it's rather bulky as double. For a double I'd go with something lighter weight and easier to fold. It's also really expensive (we paid almost 450 used and this was a good deal) which was worth it for a triple but there are better choices for a double imo.
The Maclaren we use for travel and Dr. Appts, or quick trips to a store. I wouldn't want this as my only double stroller.
I love my City Select. I like being able to adjust the seat configurations. I also like having a tandem because it's easier for me to fit through doorways etc. Most side by side do fit through doorways but it's harder to maneuver once inside.
We definitely use our double a lot. And not just because we have twins (evidenced by how much we use our valco as a triple) we do a lot of all day outings to zoos, or festivals, amusement parks etc. And it's just too much for J to walk all of that.he was 21 mos when the girls were born and now at 3 he walks a lot more but all day is just too much.
Instead of a double stroller we use a Valco Hitch Hiker that we attach to the back of our single stroller. The novelty of it has been enough to keep our kids from jumping off and wandering. We've had it for 5 years. Nothing but positive things to say.
I'm not a huge fan of baby wearing especially when it's hot, and when they get big squirmy and heavy so I used a double a lot. At first we had a Chico cortina together, that thing was huge but worked fine
Now they are 3.5 and 1.5 I use a double umbrella stroller. Matilda can walk but she gets tired so it's good to have the second seat. also if we are walking somewhere that's going to be several miles of walking u can't handle her snails pace lol
We have the B-Agile double and love it. My kids are 14.5 months apart.
We didn't start using it until the baby was 6-7 months old. I used a cheap sit n stand until then that her infant seat could snap into and he sat in the little seat.
I wear K a lot, but use the B-agile every morning for our walks and at the zoo and mall.

I have doubles and singles. I live in a big city and do a lot of walking every day. It's nice to have a place for both boys to nap in. They are almost 3.5, one isn't 30 pounds, the other barely over and they both love to be in Ergos still.
Sometimes, if I know it won't be a time when they will likely fall asleep, I take my uppa baby vista with the ride on board. If they fight over the board, they both stand on it while I push

I have a sit and stand type double stroller. Even with babywearing, you still need somewhere for your diaper bag. I also like having a stroller when I'm out with both kids.

I'm always intrigued by people who are opposed to a double stroller just on principle. Like its some type of baby conveyance competition. I have three kids who are 23 months and 20 months apart. I cant imagine just not giving my self that option. Right now we use the sit n stand double. It has a removable seat on the back.seat has regular straps, but when removed is just a bench and step. So my 2 yr old can either be buckled in(crowdedplaces like my Hs graduation) or can sit on the bench and her 4 year old brother can stand behind her on the step (like at the zoo). I have an use.the carrier sometimes, but sometimes I like not having a sweaty baby hanging off of me, and he wants to wiggle and look around more.
