As a newbie; I used to post more personal, flameful vents. And that gave people the license to be an a-hole towards me. So I scaled it down some.
I also got more vague on my posts re: personal details. Just in case someone I know IRL is lurking.
I still post flameful vents/personal whatever. I figure there's always going to be asshole or 2 (maybe even 10) here because it's the interwebz. People judge more freely.
I post less...I almost closed this thread after reading it and not posting. What I say usually doesn't really matter much, so why waste precious finger tip tapping to respond. Sometimes I feel like an ass for not responding in some posts, like the loved one died posts...I should give sympathy.
I've tried lurking on ML. I don't think I'm one of the chosen few, considering Gypsy is one of my BFFs
I know I'm definitely not a chosen one. But ML just seems full of angry/hostile women. Those are probably extreme word choices but I find most the posts silly, not funny or just boring.
At least here I'm learning valuable money saving (and planner buying) advice.
My work blocked TB a long time ago now but when I was there I always over thought my responses or posts worried about getting flamed. Since I've been away so long and this place is technically new and some people have new names I feel more confident to just answer questions and post questions.
miso likes ML better than MM. she said so. i'd be happy to take a few of you over there for good. some of you are much better suited to ML than you are to MM.
!!
i don't want to name names. but you know who you are.

I definitely used to post more and differently. I have grown a lot since I first came to these boards. I think that has a lot to do with it. Also I'm not posting from a desktop anymore, mostly from my phone, which changes the experience.
How I really feel is probably more suited for ML. But that is one of the most cliquish boards ever. I post more now, but I edit myself a lot.
We need to chat more. I feel the same way. Its not that I dont like the majority of the people on ML (although there are def some I actively dislike) but it takes forever to get into a clique and I'm happy with my clique here. lol

Not really. I'm always more of a responder than originator of posts. I like ML, but I do think it is hard to break in. Especially because I don't generally post that much or during the day.
