We asked Mackenzie what kind or theme birthday party she wanted to have this year. We wanted to make this one special because last year we canceled her party due to my Grandmother passing away around the same time, and the year before that, my brother was in a near fatal car accident a week before hand and was in a come for a month. Poor kiddo has really got the short end of the stick for her 2nd and 3rd birthday.
So we asked her and she enthusiastically replied she wanted an Elephant party! I asked her if she meant like the circus, and she said no. Just elephants. The weird thing is, she's never really shown interest in elephants before this. She doesn't watch any TV shows about them. or have a stuffed elephant. We have been to the zoo a few times, but she didn't seem anymore interested in them than any other animal. So I am sort of at a loss here. Does anyone have any cute ideas for a 4 year old's elephant birthday party? The guest list will consist of family, friends, and her classmates from Pre-K. Any and all suggestions are welcome!

Thanks! I just don't want it to look too babyish, you know? She is turning 4 so it should look school age appropriate. Everything I've seen so far is for a baby shower or a 1st birthday.
Pin the trunk on the elephant? Elephant cake of course, gray and pink streamers and balloons...
Ooh, serve peanuts in the shell and let the kids drop the shells on the floor. DS1 (also 4) LOVES this and thinks it's the funniest thing ever.
oooh great ideas! When she started school last week, the teacher confirmed there was only one allergy in the class and it was only to Cinnamon, so I can do peanut products!
I am so not a creative person at all LOL. So I will definitely need all the help I can get.
