Like a punch to the face? Or just a punch in a fight somewhere to the body? The former is likely much less than the latter. But a punch in a fight? Probably most. Hell, I have taken a punch in a fight.
My DH has not. My dad was once at a Billy Joel concert with some dude that took his teeth out before starting all because my father asked him to cuss less in front of my mom. His teeth!! He put them in his shirt pocket.

I don't think H has ever been hit but I'll ask when he gets home tonight.
ETA: I remember my brother being hit when I was younger. The other guy was charged with/convicted of battery so it definitely wasn't a normal, every day type occurance.
My H has definitely been in his share of fights when he was younger.
I have noticed that he, and most of the guys he knows, will evaluate other men on first meeting based on who they think would win in a fight. It is completely hilarious. Example: "The new guy at work was complaining about Paul today. He is a pretty small guy, but I think he could take Paul. He is ex-military."
Wtf??? None of these guys are actually getting in fights, they're all in their 40s, but they all talk like this. I have never in my life wondered whether or not I could fight another woman, or which women I know could best other women in hand to hand combat.
I don't know if this is a general man thing, or what. What goes on in their heads?
I got asked to help with a third party candidate's campaign on social media. I'm considering it.
It occurred to me yesterday that this election season might be the best shot the indies have had in years. The GOP is far gone, Trump is leading that fray in spite of all projections and has tied himself to the GOP, and between HRC and BS you've got email scandals and a miss of #BlackLivesMatter.
This could be our chance, if 3rd party would jump right into addressing race issues with real, actionable ideas and less fuckery and hair.
The only "punches" DH gets nowadays are when the kids run to him for a hug. Fortunately they're getting tall enough to not inflict bodily damage to important regions.
@majorwife this might be a dumb question but have you tried Ambien, or even something herbal like melatonin?

I think most men are basically 12 years old inside.

I've been in a few fights in my youth but I don't recall ever getting punched. I beat up some big dude for threatening my sister & had a rep after that. *cracks knuckles*
IDK if H has ever been in a fight. Closest I know of was the time he chased down the little hooligan who doused us with water while we were on a date. He was a HS kid, so I took him home before someone got arrested.
The ILs still aren't here. I really wish we could just peace out without coming across as childish. We don't have time to do anything now, because in 2 hours they MUST leave to watch football.
My neck and shoulders hurt so fucking bad. I pulled or strained something. I woke up crying a couple times in the middle of the night. There was no way I could spin this morning.

I'm in a not huge town and needed a small amount of lumber, so both called (no answer) and went to the web page for the local lumber store. The latter said open from 9-12 so I went down, and was highly annoyed that they decided to close for the entire weekend but didn't say anything on their web page or their voice mail. Sure, give your employees the holiday weekend off, but don't make your customers waste a trip to find out!
I'm wasting time waiting at Sears while one of my car headlights is replaced. My brother and his gf are only here another day so this feels like such a bad use of time. But we want to go out tonight and I don't want to risk a fix-it ticket.
No really. If anyone has any tips/tricks/instant cures for my neck/shoulders, I will pay a million dollars I don't have. I have shit to get done and I'm stuck on the sofa in pain. I've tried Motrin 800, tiger balm, heating pad..it hurts to move. I don't think there is any damage...I just think I strained something.
