my cycles are a bit unpredictable, so the monitors could've been very expensive for me, since I might have to test longer than typical. Wondfo opks have worked well for me and they are much cheaper.
I don't use a monitor. I think someone around here has one though. Maybe grover?
Instead I use the clearblue easy advanced digital opks. I buy the 10 pack because I have shortish cycles. I start on them around CD 8 or 9. They are around $25 on amazon. I like not having to worry about trying to read the lines. I usually use them along with temping, but I've been lazy with temping lately and just relying on the opks.
pandora89 Mine are anywhere from 26-29. I don't think you would need the 20 pack if you have shorter cycles. I buy the 10 pack and never use all of them.
suzv - do they expire monthly? Or do you have to get a new "kit" for every month? I apologize if these are dumb questions haha, this is my first time looking into OPKs.
Not dumb at all! You can recycle the testing sticks each month, but not the little monitor that you put the sticks into. The monitor creates a hormone baseline using FMU, so you can't reuse them the next month. It sucks because you do have to buy a new kit each month just to get the monitor. I don't think they are sold separately.

Really? I had no issues reusing it the next month
I just reread the FAQ, and you can resuse them. I need to read better, because that would have saved me a ton of money the last few months! It just says you need to use the same holder/monitor for 1 cycle, and not switch to a new one mid cycle.
I have the cbefm. My mom bought it for us as we are saving up for IF treatments. The monitor itself is pricey. The sticks come in thirty pack, and it lasts me three cycles.

pandora89 - if you are willing to wait a week or so, I am going to sell my Clearblue fertility monitor. I am in Canada too so shipping wouldn't be much. I bought it at Walmart for $300. I also have 10-11 sticks left (a cycle's worth). Anyway, I am pg now, thanks to the monitor.
