I have been having 35+ day cycles (currently on day 38, 13dpo). Is there anything I can do to shorten them? I ovulate around C25. Before I was on BC, I had long/irregular cycles.

If you ovulate on day 25 that means your luteal phase is 10 days which is somewhat normal. I would maybe talk to a dr about seeing if there is anything you can get to ivulate earlier like day 14-17 insted of day 25.

my luteal phase has been 12-14 days which makes my cycle long. I made a follow up appt with my RE for next month. thanks

I misread. I think for luteal phase that is a nomal amount of days. So i think your best bet is talking to your dr about how to ovulate earlier. Day 25 ovulation seems pretty late to me. And i though i was late because typically i am a day 17 ovulator when not on meds.

Yea. it sucks....Some people are done with their cycles by the time I ovulate . Is clomid the only med they prescribe to do that?

Not sure. I only do clomid tonproduce more eggs and get a better chance eaxh cycle since more eggs. Any pcos ladies might know more but i feel like clomid might be unless you do injectable drugs.
My cycles are typically 30-40 days. Clomid made me ovulate a few days earlier, but not as early as CD14. I didn't do Clomid though until we'd tried for over a year. You can only do it a limited number of times in your lifetime, so it wouldn't be a good tool for simply shortening cycles. I don't know what else can help though.

I feel you on the frustration of long cycles! I have PCOS and rarely ovulate on my own. I've done a few rounds of clomid and medicated my cycles are about 36-38 days (I have some slow ass ovaries). I've heard that it could move your ovulation date a couple days forward or backward if you ovulate on your own. There is probably no way to tell without trying it.
Letrozole/Femara is an alternative and so is tamoxifen. It's my understanding that both of those drugs are breast cancer drugs. Tamoxifen is structurally similar to clomid, but doesn't cause a thin lining. I'm switching next cycle and would prefer to take femara, just because I haven't read many success stories from tamoxifen.
Another thing you may want to look in to is myo-inositol. I just started taking it this month in a desperate attempt to help myself since my cycle was cancelled due to a cyst. I can't say if it's worked yet, but if you google pregnitude or myo-inositol there seems to be a lot of people saying it helped with ovulating earlier. I hope your RE has some good insight for you Good luck!!
I'm definitely feeling you on this, as I sit here on day 74. Report back if you learn anything that helps!
I'm sorry that sucks. I thought I read on here that if you hit 60 days you are supposed to call your doctor for them to induce your period with meds (I forget the drug name)

Yes, I called and have an appointment next Tuesday. I'm hoping it doesn't become a recurrent thing, though.
Do you have PCOS? Metformin can sometimes help long cycles. Crappy side effects while you adjust, though. I feel your pain, though. I've had many cycles go over 60 days. Sucks when you get less chances. The only thing that helped me was working with an RE and doing medicated cycles.
