Donald Trump mocked the appearance of fellow Republican presidential contender Carly Fiorina in a Rolling Stone interview published Wednesday. Trump said of Fiorina, “Look at that face! Would anyone vote for that?” The billionaire businessman’s remarks to Rolling Stone were made while watching the former Hewlett-Packard CEO on television. “I mean, she’s a woman, and I’m not s’posedta say bad things, but really, folks, come on. Are we serious?” Fiorina fired back in an interview on Fox News that Trump’s comments were “very serious” and that “maybe, just maybe, I’m getting under his skin a little bit because I am climbing in the polls.”

I just can't get over the fact that there are people who actually support him and think he would make a great president. A few people that I know IRL have dropped a few notches in my book, lately.
I'm embarrassed that I live in a country where so many people think he's great. It's legitimately embarrassing.
I do think there are a lot of people who just find him amusing in that celeb/reality way, and are willfully obtuse about his problematic statements, which is embarrassing in its own way.
Of course, are we really surprised? Reality TV and the cult of celebrity were always going to be the downfall of this country, lol.

I'm torn between laughing and actual depression.
Absolutely agree. And I try to take comfort in the fact that his supporters don't usually vote. Right? RIGHT?!?

I'm living in terror that he's giving them a reason to..."I've finally got someone to vote for!" kinda thing.

Way to try and belittle a woman and simplify her credentials by making an asshole comment about her looks. If anyone doubts the level of his misogyny, they shouldn't anymore.

MY OWN FATHER SUPPORTS HIM!
Half of my DNA comes from a Trump supporter.
I seriously cannot wrap my head around this.
I hate to accuse my mother of having an affair, but I feel compelled to ask her if there's any chance I'm the milkman's daughter.
My father and I do not talk politics, and I absolutely do not bring them up. But if my father does, I am going to GO IN about Trump's comments re: Megyn Kelly and Carly Fiorina.
I need to hear from women who are Trump supporters, serious, because between this, Rosie O'Donnell and Megyn Kelly, this man clearly has issues with women. I know not every women is a feminist, but come on. I so wanted Fiorina's response to be more substantive, but I guess she thinks her party wouldn't favor that. A hot, steamy mess.

Most women see no problem with this stuff. They've been conditioned to overlook sexism. They probably think it is funny.

The thing that just makes me feel so defeated, is how my parents get so excited about his campaign. Financially as a family, we are getting our poop shoots pulverized, we had to sell one of our two cars a few days ago to get some extra money, and my dad has been down on himself because he's still unemployed, and his unemployment is going to cut off in about a week, and he's been saying to us how sorry that he is for "failing the family", and while we are making enough money to pay all of the bills for the house, food supply is getting less and less by the week. And through all of that....
They say that Donald Trump is a businessman, that he'll know how to get the economy going again, my dad says that he's never been this excited for a presidential candidate in his entire life, my mom says that she thinks I let the media control my opinion on Donald Trump, and that he's not really as bad of a person as I think he is.
.... He's going to get the economy going again? By spending 663 Billion Dollars on deporting over 11 Million People (Which my father likes because "it gets rid of a lot of competition" for jobs.)?
He's going to get the economy going by spending hundreds of millions of dollars on another war in the Middle East?
He's going to get the economy going by crashing Mexico's economy, and thus crashing other economies along with it?
I really fear for the future. I honestly do. I'm 18 years old, and I fear for the future. I'm sad, I'm depressed, I just don't get it, why this country seems to be going in this direction.

*sigh* That does not surprise me. I guess I should have specified sane women lol.

TBF, a lot of seemingly progressive European nations have been having problems with the rise of far right-wing politicians for a while now. This is not exclusive to the U.S.

I'm so sorry your family is going thru such a tough time. Hang in there. If it makes you feel any better as you are from MA your parents vote for Trump won't count anyway.
I hate to accuse my mother of having an affair, but I feel compelled to ask her if there's any chance I'm the milkman's daughter.
The problem is, there's a decent chance the milkman is a Trump supporter too
My mom is a closet liberal who thinks Jimmy Carter is an underrated president and that pot should be legal. I like to think that any affairs she had skewed to the hippie side of things.

Is it odd that I wonder what his wife truly thinks about it all?
Sometimes I feel like he's just playing a game to see what kind of outrageous crap he can say.
I've actually thought this, like he's punking us all and doesn't even seriously want to be president. He just wants to see how far he can get, then he'll eventually lose interest and move on to something else.
jdnotbyrider, I'm sorry things are tough for your family right now. I hope they turn around soon, financially and politically. I've been there.
