I took a weird comfort in the minor sucky symptoms like nausea/vomiting during first tri.
It stopped being cool when I would still vomit randomly up until around 28 weeks. It was like my body wanted to remind me it was in control not me. lol
It would not be cool to still vomiting at week 28 yuck!

It was just random. No nausea. Just once every week or so, I'd be partway through breakfast and get like a 2 minute warning that I might need to throw up. I would and then I'd move on and be fine. So weird and so annoying. It happened the morning we were flying out to Spain and I was less than thrilled and hoping it was just a one time thing that day like usual. Thankfully it was. But I haven't had any more issues over the last month, which is the longest I've gone without that happening. So hopefully it's all behind me now.
You are fine. Blimpies would go out of business if they regularly handed out Listeria with their sandwiches.
Would you feel better to know that I have eaten raw cheeses?
Yes
Add me to those eating forbidden foods. Although lunch meats are not forbidden here in the UK, nor is smoked salmon or sushi (so long as the fish has been frozen first). But I'm not supposed to eat cured meats, and I love my chorizo.

My doctor said that she's more worried about my fruit intake because there has been more cases of listeria on fruit/melons lately and barely any on lunch meat. (But I'm paranoid and am not eating things that I was told to stay away from.

I think I'll probably be a lot more cautious in Canada. The UK has stricter health regulations for farming and processing (for example, you don't have to keep eggs in the fridge here because the health regulations are enforced at the chicken farms, which means the eggs don't need to be pressure washed and therefore the shells aren't weakened).

I've broken almost every pregnancy rule there is. FWIW, as far as deli meat goes, turkey has the most listeria outbreaks associated with it compared to ham or roast beef. And I've still eaten plenty of unheated turkey. Although when I was in Mexico, I heated the ham before eating it. Mexican deli meat seemed sketchier.

Yes I would be way more cautious here if I were you too.
Chiming in on strollers....after reading reviews I bought the Baby Jogger summit double. I LOVE it. My bff has a double BOB and I like mine so much better. One main reason is the canopy. I know BOB gets rave reviews but check out baby jogger too. I've been running all summer with it and no complaints.
I have the single Summit and we love it! Currently selling all but that and an umbrella stroller. Do you know if the double has a support bar? I read the double BOB does not and that the seats sag towards each other. I know the city mini gt has the support too but you obviously couldn't run with it (not an issue for me, lol).

Yes it does. That was another complaint I read about the BOB double. My kids are still small but seem comfy in the seat. One complaint I do have is your can't buy a parent console. So I have a stroller bag hanging to keep a water in. Not end of the world but just something I wish could have been added. Whenever we have another baby I plan to get a single Summit to use for everything.
I went to the mall with DD today and we had to pop into PBK (HAD to. Needed a nightlight ) and it was so hard not to buy all the baby things!!! I hope baby cooperates and we can see what it is in 8 days!
Unrelated, did you get your RE/RE nurse anything after you graduated? My final blood draw/progesterone check is tomorrow and I got my nurse a candle from anthro and was going to get her a starbucks gift card as well. The phlebotomist that we always saw who gave me little things for DD called me and asked when I would be in next because she has a gift for DD so I was going to get her a starbucks gift card as well. How much should I get?
Love of my life baby boy born 11/11. One and done not by choice; 3 years of TTC yielded 4 MMC and 2 CPs, through 4 IUIs and 2 IVFs. Focusing on making the world a better place instead...and running.
bcarp30, that's so sweet that you're getting them something. I just dropped off a giant box of posh donuts at the fetal medicine unit. I'm so sad to be saying goodbye to them.

Had my anatomy scan today and everything looks great! Babies are very clearly still a boy and a girl, girl is 12oz and measuring 4 days behind, boy is 11oz and measuring 1 day behind. Great heartbeats, measurements, etc. Baby boy was moving like crazy and baby girl was just chilling most of the time, lol. She has an anterior placenta so I don't feel her much yet, but I certainly am feeling the boy a lot! Girl is head down and boy is transverse for now. We're so relieved and happy!
So my old OB, (the one who did my first D&C) found out about my pregnancy, and he had his office call me this morning and offer me an earlier US. He is away next week so he is going to fit me in on the 29th, which is the day he gets back from holidays. he knows I shouldn't be seeing him because I'm not high risk but he thinks it will be better this way.

This is wonderful! Hopefully some extra scans in early pregnancy will help to reassure you.
Anatomy scan and regular ob appointment yesterday. Everything checked out great. Still team green. I did not peek. I am very proud of myself! Dw's bp and weight were great and all seems to be moving along well. Baby was 9 0z. Mfm said we can wait until 24 weeks to go back to her so we may be on a bi weekly schedule once we see the ob in 4 weeks. I will like that level of monitoring! Hopefully weeks 18-22 go fast!
I run to the bathroom when I am going to vomit. DH asked me last night why I did that. I said you don't want to know. When he kept asking I told it was because I pee myself when I throw up. :/

lol. I've definitely done that before.
But, honestly, where else would you throw up? The sofa?

DH was trying to be sweet and brought me a bucket when I was laying on the couch, and I took it with me to the bathroom. Lol
ssg73 so glad you had a great appointment! I'm very impressed with your restraint to not peek! That alone is worth finding out what the baby is And YAY for great news on your DW's BP!
ginkgoleaf congrats on a great scan too! Is your DS excited about the babies?
