I had so much fun in NY this weekend and ate all the things! Luckily we also walked everywhere so it may have evened out. My damn Vivofit strap broke while I was on the bus up there so I don't have accurate step counts. So annoying!

I was up so fucking late assembling my new IKEA bed last night. It was so good to crawl into my bed late last night. It was not good to crawl out of bed 4 hours later for work. I look forward to going to bed tonight
"This prick is asking for someone here to bring him to task Somebody give me some dirt on this vacuous mass so we can at last unmask him I'll pull the trigger on it, someone load the gun and cock it While we were all watching, he got Washington in his pocket."

I seriously rail against my asshole math teacher in middle school and my subsequent self-sabotage afterwards. Now that I'm a grown ass adult who realizes he was a misogynist pig who judged me based on his own personal hang ups but it still f*ing sucks when I struggle with a basic math concept. It took me forever plus a long text conversation with my former math teacher H to come up with my percent increase in the pharmaceutical story thread. Meh, how's that for a Monday random?
Related to Jenni's - part of the convo this weekend including me coming to the conclusion that I was born too early in regards to math education. I'd probably be perfectly happy with common core math.

The Brewers hired the Astros' assistant general manager to be their new general manager. He's THIRTY. Talk about making me wonder what the fuck I've done with my life...
I'm in grouch mode today. Do not send me messages early in the morning inquiring why folks can't make your event. Furthermore, don't send them in an accusatory fashion. Folks have shit to do that's why they can't come. It's not my job to get them there either. Too got.dayum.early for this shit.

I totally agree. I have such trouble with math - my mind just doesn't work that way. The common core stuff I've seen looks like it would have been much better for me.
I'm working today. Except when I say working I mean I'm at home doing some mandatory training that I purposely put off till now so I could have a gradual reentry from leave.
this training is pretty miserable though. OSHA 10. Mandatory viewing periods for each slide and each module. It took me 47 minutes to actually read every.single.word on every single slide in the second module. Mandatory time? 80 minutes. Let the thumb twiddling commence!

I am in the middle of my first ever amigurumi project. A little baby turtle that DD won't get off my back about until she gets it. It actually is pretty cute, so I'll post a pic when it's done.
Also, now that I started the exams application process I'm wigging out. I knew this was going to happen. I went from freaking out about graduating to happy stress-free times to freaking out about exams. I'm gonna be really fun to live with until this is over, and I haven't even started yet!
