I totally agree, but I think if he didn't, it would leave people asking why. So I guess I'm kind of OK with it?
But this doesn't answer the question "why?". Does he have a history of mental illness? Other domestic abuse? Those are answers.
It really just bothers me that it leads the story. Like we should understand his actions against the backdrop of her transgression.
Right!
I hate the "said her ex's name" but also hate the "believe the two were drinking". My husband and I, together, have drunk a half bottle of tequila (which could be as few as 5ish drinks each) and neither of us have disembowled anyone.
“With sorrow—for this Court, but more, for the many millions of American women who have today lost a fundamental constitutional protection—we dissent,”
I had to fix this. The report doesn't mention her. She pretty much got drunk and passed out. He got drunk and rampaged through the apartment (at least from what we're told by this report).
Either way...this is really fucked up
for once there is some mercy
Well she couldn't have been completely passed out if he isn't lying about his "reason".
Saying the wrong name is still something that I worry about occasionally and I've been monogamous for 9 years.

You know this fucker is reaching for any straw he can, any excuse he can muster to keep himself out of jail. And that's the best he can do. Maybe she mentioned she was bothered by something her ex did. Three shots later, she's passing out and he's a raging lunatic.

Well in this case, the tequila was relevant to her being passed out drunk, which sounds like a mercy.
For once, I will the warnings and not read the police report. It took me months to get over the Indian bus rape. I won't do that to myself again.
For those who took issue with the lead, how would you have written it?
Sent from my SM-G900P using proboards
"A man is in jail after ... ... his girlfriend. {information, information, information} According to the man, he became enraged when ... ... (this isnt even necessary or relevant if you write the article the way it should be written) He is being charged with first degree murder."
So we are supposed to take this guy's word for it on how things went down? I hardly believe it was over her yelling her ex's name out. I get the feeling he was on something and would have attacked her regardless of anything that came out of her mouth.
The neighbors heard them and didn't call the police.
That's so odd. He shattered the sliding glass door and punched holes in the walls. I would have been on the phone calling 911 if that type of noise woke me up in the middle of the night.
okay...I have to come back because I'm still processing this story. After reading the news article and the police report, this is how I understand it.
Two people want to have a good time and end up getting fucked up. Two fucked up people decide to fuck. Two fucked up people end up getting really fucked up and fucking drunk. One fucked up person babbles rambling nonsense while the other person rampages through the apartment raging at things it doesn't understand.
One person is fucking unconscious while the other person fucking kills it.
The person that is still alive starts to come out of its alcoholic stupor and see that there's blood fucking everywhere and it might need a fucking alibi so it starts spinning a fucking rough sex story and calls the cops.
Scene.
(I might be wrong in thinking that drugs were involved...it is entirely possible that only alcohol was involved in this incident.)
I'm hoping they blood tested him to see if there were any other drugs in his system.
bath salts?
Yeah this sounds like bath salts to me too. I can't see a drunk person getting this twisted. I know drunk people can get mean and do dumb shit....but bath salts tends to take it to the next level (or two)

I have done the dumbest, most bizarre shit while I was drunk. And I only did it because I knew it would hurt the person I was angry at (at that time).
Can you imagine being the cop who interviewed that guy and having to remain friendly and encouraging to him throughout in order to keep him talking?
I was thinking to myself: You know what? Thank god the neighbors didn't knock on the door and just ask him to keep it down or if everything was okay. Still should have called the police, though.
I want to point something out... The article says the police officer noted there was a half empty bottle of tequila and multiple lime slices on the counter. okay so that means shots. -- Once they got home from the bar.
You think that's when they started drinking? No. They probably started drinking before they ever went to the bar. And then when they got to the bar they probably had shots and beers there to.
ETA: Meaning between them they probably put away more than a 750ml easily before they ever got home.
The officer interviewed him while he was still drunk. More than likely he was coming down from the buzz and starting to feel remorseful which was good because he probably told the truth. Horrific as it was
I really don't think this was bath salts. Bath salts criminals can't even be interviewed. They end up in the hospital.

I want to say I read something similar (maybe a year ago) that happened to another woman, who did survive, after drugs were used.
I really hope this woman was unconscious and did not feel a thing. I read the police report and holy crap...I hope she was not aware of anything that happened to her.

what? stop all of this.
this was not a OMG SUPER DRUNK GUY who just got a little angry and made a mistake. this is a fucking MONSTER from the depths of hell who i hope is buried forever under the jail. i don't give two shits if he is remorseful and guilty, he's is the absolute shit on the scum of the earth.
i have been OMG SUPER DRUNK before. i crapped in a shower. this is not because he was drunk. he would've done this eventually.
"I crapped in a shower" may be the best part of this post.

Ugh. I purposely skipped reading the article and only read the responses in this thread, but then someone quoted the article and bolded the most horrific parts.

Yes, all this time you've been letting another poster take heat for the same thing! Or did she crap in the washer, cant remember. Meet me in the confessions post on ml in 5.
It was the shower, hence the mentions of wafflestomp every now and again. The washer was a joke - ya know cause nothing ever gets misconstrued on here, lol.

Reading this article made me dizzy with horror, I will definitely not read the police report, and I feel very sorry for the officers who found her and anyone else who had to see it all. I hope she was unconscious. Also I don't think the word disemboweled is sufficient. But I also don't want there to be a word that means what happened to her.
