So much fuckery happening at work. I'm pretty sure there's going to be an investigation because my coworker crossed about a billion lines yesterday in front of me.
The cooler weather has been sooooo awesome for sleeping...although it's becoming harder and harder to get up in the morning!

OH! And we found out last night that the Shakespeare Company is not only sending us Romeo & Juliet for the concert, but we're also getting Tibalt, Mercrucio, a nurse, and a couple swordsman. I squeed really hard last night.

I have no idea what you are talking about but this made me giggle.

LOL, the choral group I joined is doing a concert at the end of October--the theme is "Masquerade" and we're working with the Shakespeare folks to recreate the Capulet Ball. We thought we were just going to have two actors playing Romeo & Juliet, but they're sending more actors so we're getting more scenes.

Cliff note version: she called an officer racist in front of inmates, got physically too close to an inmate and touched him. I was witness to the last two. There's a ton more to it.
I got sad news yesterday. One of my friends from college was found dead in his apartment last Wednesday. I know he'd had health issues in top of mental health issues and a history of drug use (though he'd been clean). I don't know exactly what happened yet. It seems so surreal to be planning to go to a memorial for someone who I used to throw raves with.
In more cheerful news, tonight is open house at work, so I'll be there until probably 7:30. Fun times.
doriswe I'm also curious about what happened with your coworker. ETA: That's awful. I'm sorry, I hope the investigation didn't take too long or make things too messy.
I've read conflicting reports on whether you should or should not have an objective. Some professionals say to add one or two sentences about your skills and goals for the job you're applying for (or your dream job, whatever) instead of a formal objective.

I personally don't use one.
Yeah, sorry, for a resume. My coworker is updating her resume and did a huge objective and I'm all "whhuuutttt"?
I have a good/bad. I can't remember if I mentioned it here. My kitchen cabinets were delivered on Monday.... They came in the wrong finish. matte instead of glossy. It's now been sorted as an Italian Holiday Error and they are sending me the correct doors. For a few hours it was a major freak out situation. Did I order it wrong. No What is Italy going to do. How do I get replacements from Italy. Can I leave giant boxes in my dining room for another 8+weeks?
My kitchen demo starts tomorrow. I am donating all my old stuff to Habitat for Humanity.
Bad: ceiling leak is from my shower. I need to either find a tile that matches existing shower tile to replace the floor and part of the shower wall or be faced with the replace all the Tile around the tub,and shower. I hope I can find a close match. I don't want to replace all the tile.

You mean on a resume? If so, no. It's considered a lower level resume item actually. A more executive level resume would start with some sort of summary.
One of our partners is in the office today and was planning to take us to Top Golf tonight. Our numbers have dwindled so we decided to go sit on the patio at the Pub across the street instead. I am very happy about this as #1, the Pub has amazing shepherd's pie and #2, I was really not excited about having to drive out to the burbs to watch people hit golf balls.

ooh, at least the cabinet error is being handled.
The shower issue sounds troubling I hope you find a match.

I'm by far not an expert, but I reviewed it for her today and she's got 3 pages of resume...including a full page of volunteering experience...dating back to 2006 when she was a softball coach ersumshit. It's hard to nicely say "dude, this is unnecessary." Actually, I did tell her that. She also put that she "excitedly" did somethingoranother and "energetically attended trainings."
