The good: The photographer came yesterday and it went really well!! Finishing up some final cleaning and need to go grocery shopping at some point today.
The bad: My mom and I still aren't talking. I thought I would send a nice text a couple days ago to let her know I miss her and am thinking of her. She responded yesterday asking for no communication. I responded back saying I can accept and respect that, although I really don't understand. And while we were communicating and before she heard it from anyone else that our house is being listed and we are moving to X city (40 mi from her). Lots of messages back and forth but basically she is done and is fine knowing she has seen me for the last time. She even sent a very hatred/angry text to DH to the extent that she hopes he gets what he deserves (she thinks he's taking me away from her, which is crazy...we moved out here to be close to her but it really isn't the right fit for us and we didn't know DH would have a long commute at the time we bought because he didn't have a new job). Needless to say, it's been very stressful and sad...I will be surprised if we ever get through this...only by the grace of God and a good therapist can this relationship ever work again.
luv2rn4fun *hugs* I am so, so sorry. I cant fathom what came over your mother. I know this treatment of youbisnt warranted. I hope your H can be strong for you right now.

I'm currently laying on the floor of our now empty former bedroom! This room is completely done but still a lot of work to go. H is bringing a load back to the house and to save gas I'm going to hang out here. I'm taking a break and then I'm not sure what I'm going to do. I always forget how much of a pain this is! Doesn't help that we've been doing most of the work alone. Our parents have watched E (ILs are right now) but they can't lift things. BIL was supposedly moving back but is now taking his GF's kids hunting. Sigh. He did help us out with a lot of the big stuff but we definitely could have used him this weekend!
Anyways, that's about all we're doing right now. I just want to go home and sprawl out on the couch because my allergies aren't liking this at all!
luv2rn4fun so many hugs ...I'm so sorry you're dealing with that. You have done a great job reaching out to her. I am so sorry that you are getting this treatment in return.
@luv2run4fun I am so sorry that you are having such a difficult time with your mom. I cannot imagine how she could treat you this way, huge hugs.
estrellita good luck finishing up your move! I know from the last time we moved it seemed never ending , there were so many odds and ends and cleaning left at the old place.
H's cousin is in the hospital w gi issues/elevated pancreatic enzymes. His wife posted all these pics of him on Facebook w vague messages. Nobody in the family was able to figure out what was going on. Finally we got a call from h's mom with details/assurance that he is OK. Who posts that crap on Facebook? Last time she posted pics from the ER after H's cousin almost died from an anaphylactic reaction.

Thank you ladies! Really appreciate all your kind words and support. I really do pray that someday we have a relationship again...with God's grace anything is possible so that's what I will keep holding on to for now (and memories of all the good times and not this stuff recently).
estrellita- Praying the finale of your move goes smoothly!! We have just started this process and I'm already stressed...I know the really hard stuff is still to come. You have done great so far and are so close! Just think of all the fun times you have ahead as a family in YOUR NEW HOUSE!!! The finishline is near friend...will be thinking of you today!
The wedding we went to yesterday was easily my most favorite. It was so fun and perfect! It was all outside with gorgeous weather, the most lovely decorations, good food, a bonfire beside the dance floor, and a good dj. They had games for kids and open bar for adults. Not too many people. No bugs. I loved it. I'm tempted to write the planner a thank you for such a fun evening. Lol.
((luv2rn4fun)) I'm so sorry. I must have missed what happened with your mom, I know you've said you weren't talking but I didn't think it was that bad.
Will you be fully moved in by the end of this weekend estrellita?

awick14 we're mostly moved, we should just have one more trips worth but we have a lot of cleaning to do. I'm hoping to be done today but we do have tomorrow and Tuesday night if for some reason we can't finish. Just waiting for MIL to get here to watch E. I wish we weren't getting going so late. Oh well I guess. I should have taken tomorrow off, lol.

estrellita - Is it flameful that I'm seriously considering setting aside a few hundred dollars to just hire someone to come in and clean our house for us when we move out so that I don't have to do it myself?

Nope, I've done it in the past. We did it when we were moving cities though and didn't feel like staying to clean.

Oh, thank goodness! I have no interest in worrying about a deep clean when I'd rather be spending my time unpacking and setting up our new house.
So I found a new brownie recipe on Pinterest that is supposed to be THE BEST. So fudgy, so moist, with icing! I decided to try it, which is kind of a big deal for me, because I tend to stick with my tried and true recipes. So I'm mixing up the brownies and I start to think "this recipe looks familiar..." Yeah, it's the exact same recipe as my normal one, lol!
I left out the chocolate chips I normally add, and I'm going to add the icing, but what a dumb move on my part! Oh well, at least I know I'll like them!
(((luv2rn4fun))) I hope you're able to have a relationship with your mom in the future. I can't imagine how much your heart is breaking right now.
estrellita, almost done! Once it's clean, you have the fun part, setting up the new house!
@moonbeam, I missed it! I'm sure it's cute!
We went to church again today, and E did well in the infant room. They said he had a good nap. It was wonderful to be back in church, although it wasn't our usual pastor and the one today wasn't very good. Oh well, the worship was very good. Our church just opened a new campus within walking distance to our house. We saw a LOT of young families there, so that is awesome. The weather was very nice this evening, so we went on a long walk with E as well.
