Omg j will not fall asleep. We put him down an hour and a half ago and he's just been rolling around and saying mama and dada. I got him some water and let him run around for a bit, but he's still awake. Go to sleep! 7 is going to come early for him.
We have a great view of the moon from our front door, but it's covered by clouds. Bummer
1. DH was out of town so I decided to take the train to go see my parents for my father's birthday. It was really fun for the most part and Ben was SO good with behavior despite a lot of being off-schedule and long delayed train rides etc.
2. My mom insisted I should take some time to go do something by myself today. I offered to take Ethan with me while Ben napped. She said no, she could handle it. Ben slept until 8:15, ate breakfast, was being fine. Ethan was sleeping and I started to pump. Ben got a little cranky but I finished up and then took him out of the house for two hours to tire him out and get him out of my parent's hair. Went back and put him down for a nap. He ALWAYS naps for at least two hours. My father kept asking me where I was going and acting annoyed I didn't have a plan or didn't want to tell him my plan. Finally he said I had to be back within an hour because "we're not running a babysitting service." I started crying etc. and it was just so mean. He apologized but I'm still just so fucken mad. They always ask me to visit and say they want to see the boys. I spent $180 on the train. My kids are easy to handle and I only was going shoe shopping for one fucken hour. Never again. I'm just mad my sister lives down the street and gets tons of free babysitting.

Poor babies belly is so full from all the eating I'm sure he's uncomfortably and probably over tired. DH is doing his "daddy dance" (this funny looking glide/bounce his dad showed him) because I needed a break.
I tried a new swaddle method and got it a lot tighter than the escape proof swaddle so fx it stays that way tonight!
Nqb I'm sorry. It makes no sense amd o cam totally relate. I want answers to why my parents do cra but I will never understand. Eat all the curry and drink all the wine

He is finally asleep! We tried other methods for almost an hour but I ended up nursing him to sleep. Plus DH had the great idea to use a box fan (like we do for DS1) instead of the graco white noise machine and it's much louder so that's good.
And now to get some sleep so I can tackle tomorrow!
Parenthood has made me even more of a total sap than I was before. I look at J sleeping, and my heart feels like it grows three sizes. I just think he is the best little person ever. He acts delighted with life all the time, and it makes me so happy to see that. I wish I could pick him up and squeeze him, but I like sleep too much for that!
I think I am extra emotional because I had the worst dream that my BFF convinced me to leave him in the car for 5 minutes while we ran into a store. But then we forgot and 5 minutes became 30. I raced back out and found him struggling to breathe, called 911, and the police took him out of my home and said I couldn't see him anymore. I woke up bathed in sweat with my heart racing. It was so awful.

I am not in labor but I did just choke on my spit and now I'm having a coughing fit so H and I are both awake. He is not amused at all of my coughing. Lol and oops
