Busy week! Happy hour with two of my teacher friends on Wednesday. We get together once a month for frozen cosmos and I look forward to the next one after it's over. I volunteered to be on a committee at school to create a policy for observation requests and our first meeting is on Thursday. At some point this weekend I really want to go and see The Martian. I read the book and was obsessed with it.
Not too much. Work all week. Work detail at the fire house on Friday. H and I are marching in a parade on Saturday with out fire department. Sunday we are going to a friend's house for an afternoon of fun.
Today: Safelite guy already came and replaced our front windshield. He was so professional, courteous and timely. I highly recommend them if you ever need work done. So reasonably priced as well.
H's EMT test is tomorrow at 4PM in Springfield. So we are heading down there to do some window shopping and hanging out prior to his test. (I'm way more nervous than he is) He's spending the whole day studying today for a final cram session.
Those are the two massive things this week. Other than that just working and house projects
Hopefully a low key relaxing week. Last week was crazy. I'm so glad my H is almost done with grad school. I'm so over his homework dominating. (Not that he isn't more over it. Lol)
eek, travelbug how exciting and nerve wracking! Is the test a pass/fail or a grade? Is it hard? I hope he aces it!

It is a pass/fail. He has to get above a 70% to pass the test. It is 150 questions. All multiple choice. He's taken it once before but missed it by only 1 question He also got SUCH bad news right before his test about his parents. So I told him NO social media all day today or tomorrow just in case lol.

We should be done at the apartment today, yay! So this week will just be settling in and getting things put away here and there. I'll be happy when there's more than a small path through the kitchen, lol. Oh, and hopefully catching up on TV shows! I'm 3 episodes behind on Project Runway but the app kept screwing up last night so I couldn't even finish the first of the 3. They need to fix it because this happened before too, so it has nothing to do with our slower internet!
This week is pretty boring, which is so good! Last week was insane with all the traveling.
There's lots of cleaning to be done, as always, haha. H is going to put the trim up around our new front door! Picking out paint colours for the door and entryway/hallway. Hopefully picking up sewing again! I've been so tired that I haven't sewed anything in months I miss it!
Today: relax and maybe tear the garden out. Tues- first u/s (nervous!) (Edit: this is at 3pm PST so it will be a late update tomorrow night.) Wed- work Thurs- work and baby shower for coworker Fri- evening with DH Weekend- off with the house to myself as DH is going hunting with my dad for a week.
estrellita- Yay for being done with your move!! Now time to enjoy your new home!
amaranth- ((hugs)) I remember the days when DH was studying for his CPA exams (and we weren't married or had a kid). It was so hard on me then so major kudos to you surviving and thriving in this season while pregnant and wrangling a toddler! You are awesome and I'm sure he really appreciates your support!
-Going to Costco today
-Lots of cleaning and staying on top of the house
-Officially listed on the MLS tomorrow!!
-Baby storytime tomorrow
-Walking with my church mentor friend
-Hopefully lots of showings and selling our house...and finding a new home to buy!
-No plans for the weekend but I'm sure we will go house hunting again
We only looked at one house (the one DH was in love with...it's nice but way too small and way too overpriced...they have two offers already close to asking price too). We went to look at another but knew by the neighborhood and curb appeal that it wasn't worth looking inside so we left. Our main focus was looking at neighborhoods and then focusing in on what we like/don't like, must haves, etc. We found a really great neighborhood with houses we like...it's close to a great part and an awesome elementary school. And it has convenience. We also found that we don't want to be close to the super convenience (neighborhoods are stacked on top of each other, busy, etc). Oh, and the ones we like are within 1.5-2 miles from my high school BFF and her family! We had a great visit with them yesterday!
So, to answer your question...no, not yet. But we gave it a good effort and made great progress! We even went back to said neighborhood and found a house for sale. I saw they were home and knocked on the door, asking to look inside. She was gracious and let us. It's nice but not the perfect house for us (more of a fixer upper and no pool, which I guess we determined is more of a priority but not necessarily a must have if all other criteria are met).

Wednesday I'm going to dinner with my coworkers. One of them is pregnant and is telling us the sex at dinner (we all work from home so we hardly see each other).
Saturday H and I are taking Cara to a fall festival at a farm, if the weather cooperates.
Sunday my parents and brother and his girlfriend are coming over to do pizza for my birthday (which is Monday).

I was originally supposed to go home today but I decided over the weekend to stay until tomorrow because I have a lot of errands to do that are easier and/or cheaper than doing at home. Now, I have to get some repairs done on my car tomorrow that I wasn't planning on so I might not be going home until Wed.
Friday is my blood draw and Sunday we're going to a pregnancy loss memorial service.
My mom came to visit today, so that was fun. We chatted and went to Ulta and to lunch.
DH and I are getting our flu shots on Wed.
I found baby storytime at the library on Thursdays, specifically for newborns and non-active babies, so me and E will go to that. I'll get his library card.
Home game this weekend, and BIL is coming in, so DH and him will be going to that.
Officially signing papers with the nanny this week. DH have been working on that the past couple days. Taxes are hard, yo.
