DD1 (4) has a fever so no school for her tomorrow. She is soooo upset. Pretty much anytime she's sick, whether it means she misses school or not, she gets very very upset. She denies that she's sick, keeps saying "mommy, I'm not sick." She's so sad about it, totally on the verge of tears. Poor baby. I don't think it's only about not wanting to miss school, though that's a huge part. Anyway, does anyone else have a kid who freaks out about being sick or is mine a weirdo?

My kids are a little bit of both. They're both huge school lovers so they would convince me they were well enough for school, too. When they realized that was a losing battle they milk it to get more tv/iPad and snacks on the couch, though. Lol. They do magically feel better for a preferred activity.
Awe your poor dd. I have the reverse weirdo. Ds likes to dramatically cradle his head and say "mommy, I'm sick, I need medicine and I need to go to the doctor." Except he does it when he's not sick. Lol. Weirdo!

My son loves, loves to go to the doctors so he does the same thing. My dd is the opposite; she was kicking the doctor in the leg the last time we went and she was examining ds when he was sick. Sooo embarrassing.
