I have a sorority sister that told me she homeschools b/c she didn't want to have to get up to take her son to school and wake up his siblings. Uh whut?
For some reason this is cracking me up. I mean, I'm pretty friggin lazy and I hate to get up in the mornings. But do you know what's harder and way more work than waking your kid up to get him to school? Having to entertain him all day.
Seriously! I just sort of when "oh ok" when she was going on and on about it.
Well if my SIL can claim her 1-2yr old is in school (NOT daycare, it's school according to her), then I can claim I'm homeschooling my 2yr old...lol. Actually the iPad/YouTube Kids homeschooled her all her letters, shapes, colors, numbers...lol.
I read this post last night and though hmmm, haven't seen this one yet (homeschool/unschooling). Then this was posted to my local Mom's Group on FB: "I found some groups for unschooling/homeschooling in the Unnamed County area but wondered if there are any in the Unnamed City/Unnamed City range? I was thinking Unnamed City would be ideal since a lot of areas can get there pretty easily. Or if anyone would like to start one with me? I won't technically be unschooling for a while, since baby hasn't been born yet, but I want to make sure she'll have a solid network by then."
She's making plans to unschool her NOT YET BORN BABY!!! WTF? I blame you internet, I blame you!

I will admit my neighbor runs a co-op preschool. SO I guess that is technically homeschooling preschool and that doesn't seem weird to me. But when you just stay home with your kid without a set curriculum it is very odd to call it homeschooling.
