I'm due in early Feb and we'll be living with my parents for a bit. My sister is still in high school and lives here, too. Everyone is on board with getting flu jabs and pertussis boosters. I will not be receiving visitors who haven't had them, at least not until spring.
All the pedis in my area recommend the whooping cough vaccine (TDaP) for all caregivers. I have mine anyway for work, but DH, our parents, and our nanny all got theirs. I recommend this for all babies, year round.
And even though I had a summer baby, I'm requesting caregivers get their flu vaccines as well because he won't be old enough for his until January. DH and I are getting ours today, actually. And our nanny already has hers.
DH had his TDap when DS was born 2 years ago. Do you think he needs a booster? What about grandparents? I got mine in 2nd tri but thought that was just for extra immunity.

DH had one three years ago and my OB and sister (nurse practitioner) both said its not a bad idea for him to get another before baby comes.

Your H is probably okay but it's not a bad idea to get a booster. Although my unit gets our TDaP boosters every two years because we're around so many bitty babies. I would ask your parents when they got theirs. Although, if any of them are over 60, it's not a bad idea to get a booster anyway because pertussis is a leading cause of respiratory related hospital admissions in the elderly.
Your booster that you got in second tri is exactly that, for extra immunity and to pass on that immunity to your baby through your blood.
