Do you know of any local organizations that make gowns for babies who have died out of wedding dresses? I looked for one once when a friend in another state donated, but couldn't find anything local.
www.angelgownprojectofca.com/donate-a-wedding-dress.html This organization is going to be collecting dresses at CSUSB on October 24 at a memorial walk hosted by a group called Forever Footprints. The link is to the dress donation form. I'd be happy to reimburse you for shipping if you decide to go that route.
Thank you for this info. You do not need to reimburse me for anything. It would be my small way to honor the memory of Benjamin and the babies my friends and loved ones have lost.
1. Have you ever used their services? Yes, I needed birth control in college. My parents are very overbearing and controlling. There is no way my,mother would have even let me say the word sex in front of her much less approved of birth control. I never used anything other than preventative services.
2. Do you support them in general? Yes. Think of all the people that would be without birth control, obgyn and std services. Honestly, I'm torn on abortion. I'm pro life for myself, but I'm not sure if it should be illegal and that it should be mine it the govt choice to control. I know that even if it were illegal people would still obtain them and it would be expensive and unsafe and would tax our economic system even worse. Also, most pro life organizations are fine to support you not to terminate but sure as heck aren't supporting you when the baby is born
3. Do you financially support them? No, money is tight right now and we have had to stop charitable giving, beyond our church commitment, until a credit card is paid off.
4. If not do you have a charity you do support and why did you choose that specific one?
1) Yes. When I was still on my parents insurance I had no real medical privacy. I was 19 once and I asked them to bull me for my copay since I was broke and they addressed the bill to my mom- with a follow up of my summary. I went to PP and they gave me free BC no questions asked. I left a donation every time I picked it up.
2. 100%
3. No.
4. My donation dollars usually go to local foster or homeless youth. We have a local organization that serves the women and children's shelter I volunteered at in high school and our local foster kids.
