countthestars, my kid thinks she has the baby in her belly. She is also confused.
So glad its friday. I need to figure out how to get my boat out of the water this weekend and there is that storm coming. I dont want to do it in the rain.
I managed to go out last night despite Es razor debacle. Ate way too much Indian food. DD is fine despite the mangled thumb, an example again of how kids are resilient because I would be for sure moaning about then pain if it were me.
Haha! countthestars, at least your DD is a toddler. My friend told her grandma that she had been having Braxton hicks contractions. The grandma told a bunch of people that the baby's name was Braxton hicks.
I have zero idea if this is developmentally on track, ahead or behind, but DD can spell her name! Sometimes she drops the M and the "E" is more like an "eh", but we were shocked yesterday when we discovered that!
No big plans here. I have to get to the bank and grocery store today, and I want to finalize the proofs and order DD's birth announcements. I would love to have them sent out before she's 1 month old and I found some good coupon codes for tiny prints!
My in laws are coming this afternoon. We just saw them last weekend. I am hoping seeing them weekly isn't going to become a thing:/
We were cleaning before the speech therapist came and found a pile of unopened mail. I got inspired and decided to open. Of course it was 99% junk mail...and also a letter from July from our pediatrician notifying us that he is leaving general pediatrics. Say what?? We saw him for well visits in August and spoke to him on the phone about bloodwork yesterday. How did this not come up? Argh. Now we have to pick a new pediatrician. Of course it will be easiest to stick with one in the same practice, but honestly I haven't loved any of the ones we've seen at sick visits.... But the idea of picking a whole new practice sounds impossible. So frustrating. On the bright side - I'm so glad we had a pediatrician we liked to get us through the post-NICU rough parts.
@ffbride0813 If I were to add a well-priced lens to my Christmas list, what should I get? I have a Nikon.
What do you have and what are you shooting? Do you have a 50mm yet? I shoot Canon. I just got the sigma 35 art and its amazing. Not well priced though. Well priced for how amazing it is but still not cheap. I also have a 100mm macro which i think Nikon has a 105mm. I use it for flowers and food. For my kids a wide angle would be my choice. Something around a 35mm on full frame or a 24mm on a crop camera. I dont knwo what Nikon has. Canon has a couple pancake lens for their crops. I have the 24mm on my Canon t3I and really liked it. My house was too small for the 50mm.
It's my fifth anniversary today! H and I are doing nothing, lol. Dinner out tonight but with Bas, so nothing too fancy.
Happy anniversary.
For our 5th DH and I went to the most non romantic restaurant (typical NJ italian pizzaria) while my mom watched DD for the hour we were gone. It was still fabulous.
Daycare is closed for staff development today, so DH is home with the kids. I'm home trying to get ready for work, but DD is SO CLINGY. She's just crying and crying every time I try to move.

I dropped off the kids last night and got a call at 2:45am from MIL, that DS has a fever of 102. Luckily I sent ibuprofen just in case. He says his throat is hurting, so she is going to bring him to the walk in clinic later to get tested for strep. I feel awful that I dumped a sick kid on her, but he was 100% fine on the ride over, talking a mile a minute, etc.

Happy anniversary! For our fifth we took my dad out to Texas Roadhouse with us because he was in town helping with our house. Lol. Weight/jaundice check at the pediatrician this morning. Hopefully it goes well- she's been peeing and pooping a ton..
This week is starting to catch up to me. I'm just not sleeping well, even in a separate bed, while DH wakes up all night for meds etc, I'm dealing with all three kids solo and the boys are deciding 6:00 is also the time they want to get up as well. DD has crawled in around 5 am two nights in a row. The one thing DH wanted to do was watch the football game together last night and I passed out on the couch right after half time. I'm on my second large cup of coffee and I'm just now feeling like I'm half awake and I've been up since 5:30.
Plus, I feel like we're stuck in a sort of limbo, unable to really leave the house. It's super dreary, nearly blustery outside and I'm not all the comfortable leaving DH here by himself for more than an hour or two. So lots of TV and lounging.

I have a D3200 which is the entry point camera for the "pro" range. It came with the basic kit 18-55mm lens. I'd like to drop down to an f-stop of 1.8 since I see so many tutorials shooting there but since I'm still a beginner I don't want to spend 500+ on a lens until I know what I'm doing.
I've lost the Apple TV remote. Like really lost it this time. I turned the whole house inside out, and I can't find it. Curse you Apple for making everything so sleek and slim and small. We actually can't watch TV at all without it, that's the only TV we have. Stuck inside all weekend because of the rain with no TV. Kill me now.
