Another dreary, rainy day...it's so hard to get out of bed on days like this.
Has anyone been to Trader Joe's recently? I don't go there very often but I have a gift card and I want to go stock up on pumpkin stuff, I was just wondering if it's out (I'm guessing so?) I remember last year they had pumpkin everything.
I haven't been lately, but if you go, get the maple cookies! So delicious. I saw them in the ad for Aldi yesterday and they're pretty much the same store so I bet TJ's has them now too.
I have almost no voice this morning, I have DS' cold that's still lingering from last week. Parenting with no voice is... Challenging, lol. Hopefully the tea I'm drinking will help.
DH has 2 new job leads since yesterday! One would be working remote but we'd need to be in FL in the area we're looking in. The other is with his old company but a different position. It's about 15 minutes from home and he might be able to work from home a day a week, which would be awesome. We'll see what happens, since we're still undecided about moving.

I was there a few weeks ago and mine had all their pumpkin stuff out! That reminds me that I need to go stock up on pumpkin bars before the season is over
UCC is a couple of hours away from where I live, so nearly every person on my friends list has some sort of opinion about it that they feel they need to share. Over and over and over again. And at least 95% of them are making me glance toward the unfriend button.
I have 15 feet of Pumpkin vine in my back yard and 1 lonely huge orange pumpkin on it. I'm a little disappointed I didn't get more. I can't wait to carve it with the kids. it's a little early for that though.

Yep, HoneySpider, I went last weekend. They had so much pumpkin stuff. I got the pumpkin cheesecake and it was good! I also tried the pumpkin frozen waffles but I wouldn't recommend them...kinda bland.

Good to know!
I forget what I even bought last year! Guess I'll just see what looks good when I get there.
HoneySpider- Yum, all things pumpkin! Our TJs (which is 20 min away so I hardly ever go...used to when I worked because it was on the way home) ad had pumpkin all over it so I assume it's in full swing. Ditto the pumpkin beer...it's the best for the price! It's finally feeling more like fall here and I'm excited for apples and pumpkin...we have enjoyed a couple different pumpkin beers (so far Blue Moon and Ballast Point...Shipyard is on deck for tonight!0 but that's basically it so far.
ginkgoleaf- Hope you feel better soon! I can't imagine parenting without a voice. Also, you have been on my mind these past couple days...moving/selling with C is not fun. I'm hopeful and optimistic this will go fast though so that's why I agreed to it. But yeah, trying to keep our house show ready and then finding out at the last minute that we will be gone through dinner and coming home just in time to do bath and bed (later than normal too)...one day on the market and I was a stressed out mess. But your twins will be a little younger than C and at least your DS is capable of helping/listening so that are to your advantage! C is at the stage where he just wants to be in everything (tearing books off the shelf and displacing everything as soon as I put it away) and he doesn't understand no! LOL Good luck to you and your DH!!! That's very exciting for you guys (WFH would be a great help for you too!)!
I love this weather right now! It's actually "cold" in the mornings (high 50s) and is only supposed to be a high of 80! We had two showings last night so I went to my step dad's and visited and then DH, C and I met at a park when DH was off work before we could be home. It was so much fun playing with C and the weather was perfect!!
Hoping for more showings (and an offer!?!?) today! We have a list of about 5 homes to look at tomorrow and will hopefully show our house while we're gone. It's supposed to rain on Sunday so that should be fun and interesting if we have to show the house.
HoneySpider - they also had that "not your fathers root beer" that people have been saying is so great. you should try that and report back!
Yeah I haven't tried that yet....but when we lived in Oklahoma (so...8-9 years ago) there was a root beer beer made by a brewery there and it was really good. We talked about that for a long time afterward. So it cracks me up that this other one is so popular now, like the idea never existed before or something
I wanted to make pumpkin pancakes this morning but H wanted plain old waffles so that's what I made
It's chilly and cloudy out so I am making some French onion soup. I also found I have 2 bags of apples to use up in the fridge so I am going to make a few apple pies and maybe some apple butter. We have a parade tomorrow so I need to shine my boots and I am going to give myself a manicure to feel like a girl when I look like one of the guys. Oh and I lost 3 pounds this week!!
Yesterday I took my parents to Whole Foods, and my mom was in heaven because she hadn't been in three years and stocked up on a lot of things from the bulk bins. We also picked up a strawberries and cream cake, which was delicious. I'm looking forward to having a leftover piece later.
I'm feeling super overwhelmed this week between work and school and other commitments. I'm phoning it in big time today. I can't wait to go home to drink coffee and take a nap.
I'm just chilling at the airport. My flight is delayed for the third time now. I'm glad my parents are going to the funeral too so that I can share transportation. We're taking three separate flights but planning to meet up when we land.
I forgot my book so I bought a new one here. The ROOM by Emma Donahue. Has anyone read it?
Wahhhooo, just finished grocery shopping for the month. (Other than odds and ends we often need to replace such as milk, eggs and bread) I got our month of October's groceries in at $135.00!!! YAY!!!!!
Also, probably no beer buying, I am supposed to be losing weight and drinking does not help with that.
I was sooo looking forward to snuggling with a bottle of wine on the couch tonight, but then I realized I need to get my butt on the treadmill to meet my activity goal for today. Blah.
It's insane rain here and it's making me hate everything. Dramatic, yes, but it's so disgusting outside.
luv2rn4fun, I can only imagine how hard it is to sell with kids! DS dumped ALL of his lego bins out this morning, so even at 4.5yo, it's a challenge to keep the house clean. It's not the right time of year to sell here, so I'm not sure what would happen in that department. We're undecided about moving still, depends on what job opportunities come around for DH. I would LOVE for him to be able to WFH at least one day a week. Just to have someone to talk to or hold a baby for me would be awesome. I don't think I'll be getting out much for quite awhile after they're born. His commute right now is about 1.5 hours each way, leaving before I get up and home around 6:45/7. It's just not conducive to family life, especially with 2 more on the way. Something's got to give.
Just saw your update - an offer or TWO?! That would be awesome, glad things are looking up for you!
ginkgoleaf- Wow, I didn't know your DH's commute was so bad Sorry to hear that. Yes, something has to give! Do you have any help nearby (I think your parents live close?)? I hope changes come soon for you guys so you have some help (and someone to talk to...staying home with babies is hard when you don't have many family/friends around...can get isolating very fast). You guys are in my prayers!
Thank you! I'm excited and scared...we haven't seen anything we like enough to even consider thinking about writing an offer. It does us no good to have an offer here if we can't find something we like in our new city (I really really REALLY don't want to move twice...as in, we likely won't move now if we can't get it to work on both ends of the process). I'm hopeful though...God's got this, one way or another!
luv2rn4fun, my in-laws are about 30 minutes away part of the year, they'll be going south at the end of the month. My parents are 800 miles away. I do have good SAHM friends that I'm sure can help some, but not the same as having your DH home/nearby. This is part of why we're considering moving - still wouldn't be near my parents, but would be close to all my other extended family (and escape the winters!)
I have a confession HoneySpider, I am not a huge pumpkin fan. I love pumpkin pie and such but I don't get the everything pumpkin craze.
ginkgoleaf- I hope your H finds a job closer to home so his commute isn't so long.
luv2rn4fun- I hope you get an offer soon. Just don't buy something so you don't have to move again, I have friends that did that and they regret it completely.
Sorry I haven't been around much, I've just kinda been mopping around lately. I hope next thurs comes soon.

awick14 I totally get that not everyone likes pumpkin. There are a lot of things I don't like, so I wouldn't expect everyone to like it. What I don't get is people who hate on people who like it...I just saw something on my FB where a guy was annoyed by pumpkin English muffins..and took the time to take a photo and rant about it. Who cares? You don't have to buy them. I don't get it.
