Yes it was so weird! I was also SO uncomfortable from 38 weeks on (Ben came at 37w1d). I took Epsom baths every night. I stopped work at 39 weeks so that week sitting around was the worst. DH took off too which was nice because I was in constant pain but my nesting instincts were driving me crazy.
All told I was pregnant 22 days longer with Ethan. Did that make him a better sleeper? Nope. Sigh. I'm bitter because we had a few weeks of just one wakeup but now he's up 3+ times.
I actually felt pretty good with DS and had fun freaking people out - When are you due? Oh, the 17th. So just a few more weeks? No, the 17th, as in last week. People look at you with shock and horror like a baby is going to fall out on their feet any second.
It was annoying as hell. I was 10 days later with #2. I consoled myself by sending DS to daycare and doing projects around the house and napping in peace.

It was weird and seemingly never ending. I had DS at 37w3d and DD at 41w1d. I actually felt better physically the second time, but it was mentally exhausting to spend almost 4 weeks thinking I could have a baby any time.
DD (oldest) was 10 days late but DS came on his due date. However, the day before he came I had a meltdown because I was SO READY for him to come but I thought he'd be late like DD. I didn't know how long I could last at that point. Luckily, I didn't have to find out .

Yes. 37w with Lane and 38w3d with Ella. I felt completely on edge the last week and so done. It didn't help that I was also racing the fluid loss (and lost that race), but I just felt so huge and sore. For good reason apparently, but just carrying a larger baby was so weird.

Yes. Every single doctor I saw was just sure DS2 was going to come any moment, early like his brother. Every exam they said they didn't think I would make it until the next appointment. I was constantly looking for signs of labor. But nooope, DS2 came late, by induction.
DS1 was 37w exactly. DS2 was 37w4d DD was 39 weeks!!!
I can't imagine actually making it to my due date or being overdue. I have so much respect for everyone who wad overdue. I was DONE at 38 weeks the last time.
Me! Ds1 was born around 38 weeks and DS2 was right at 40.
I hated it, not gonna lie. I think I paid way closer attention to every little twinge and I was so hot and huge that I was doubly frustrated. I just wanted him out!
Me. I went into labor and had DS1 at 36 weeks and really thought I would go early with DS2. Nope, he held out until my RCS at 39 weeks. I had contractions for the last month and pretty much lived in constant "is this it?" mode.
I had DS1 at 37w and DS2 finally arrived at 41w1d. It was a VERY long 4 weeks. I just went into labor early with DS1, no health issues, so in my head I thought that was just how long my body would be pregnant. I kept waiting and waiting, and DS2 just didn't come. My water did end up breaking with him, but I think I have DS1 to thank for that too. I spent the morning cleaning up his purple-colored smoothie puke from every single stair on the staircase (from our new stair runner). About an hour later my water broke. I just share in case you get desperate and what to try something.
I was! DD1 was induced at 39W0D and DD2 came when she wanted at 41W2D. I'm glad she wasn't induced, but man did it suck. She was born around Christmas and I just stared at the advent calendar wondering when she would come.
I went into spontaneous labor with #1 at 37 weeks, and had a scheduled c/s with #2 at 39 weeks. He was still wedged WAY up under my ribs and hadn't dropped, it took two doctors really pushing at the top of my belly to get him out. I'm not sure he would have ever come out on his own if I waited to go into labor. He was super comfortable up there.
But, my biggest complaint is vain. I didn't develop stretch marks with #1, but did in the two weeks later that #2 arrived. Wah. He took the opportunity to destroy my stomach during that extra time.
Yep, completely weird. I had DD at 38w, 3d. Was induced with DS at 40w, 1d. I felt like he could have stayed in there much longer if we'd let him. He wasn't too responsive to the induction for the first 16 hours or so.
