We are entering hour three of wakeup #1. And she barely napped today. I've given up on identifying the four month wakeful and instead declare my kid just won't sleep.
My biggest fear is all the newborns will start STTN and I'll still be here starting MOTN threads every night all by myself.
Don't fear! My newborn is def not STTN, lol. She did a monster feed at 10:30 then DH wanted to try the bassinet instead of taking her per usual so I did and now I might kill him. She woke up (as I knew she would) and then ate on the other side and hadn't gone down since. He took her to calm her down and kept being like "I think she's hungry". Dude she ate for an hour 20 mins ago she's not hungry. He told me to sleep while he took care of it but unlike him I don't have the ability to sleep through her crying. So he finally went downstairs for an hour, and just brought her back up. She ate for about 2 mins and is now asleep on my chest. He's annoying me tonight for the first time since we brought her home. I guess it was bound to happen some night.
He's waking every 2 hours so not unusual but it lets me check on him so that's nice. Fever is pretty much gone (99) and the humidifier has helped loosen all the mucous up so he's breathing easier. Thanks for asking!
We slept for about two hours and now we are up and feeding again. She wouldn't take the left side much yesterday but I got her to latch now and she is gulping it down. I expressed s little first so she wouldn't pop off and choke and it seems to have worked which is nice.
Up after a stretch of almost 3 hours! She was pretty fussy for an hour or so before she finally went to sleep. She only nursed for 10 minutes just now so I am not confident she'll sleep for very long. Once I finish this bottle of water, I'm getting back in bed.
I am both looking forward and fearing the day we break the swaddle habit. Girlfriend needs it so badly and it works almost immediately, but it makes sleeping in public and settling down such a challenge.
I'm so nervous about flying for the first time w my son I haven't slept That'll make the 5:30am wake up so much more fun. I'm sure he'll be just fine and it's less than an hour flight. I'm not the most graceful of flyers myself so even more nerves to add.
DD just woke up after a 3 hour stretch of sleep! But she woke up doing a weird sneeze/cough thing and sounds kinda congested. I really hope that means she's not getting the cold DS2 has. But I'm not holding out much hope since 2 night ago he literally sneezed in her face at bedtime :-(
My kid is not the best at getting the attention of sleep deprived people.
He woke up to feed an hour ago, I heard him and made an effort to get up. Instead, I dreamt that I fed him. And woke up an hour later to his quiet frustration. At 3 am I need full on rage, baby.
My kid needs to poop. Or I need a gas mask. Either will work.
We are on day 3 or 4 of no poop for this kid (EBF, so no big deal yet). He is gassy and it is RANK. DH just walked through on his way to the bathroom and was like "is that HIM?!" It's not me, so yes.
Also night sweats are gross. My hair is soaked in sweat a good 2-3" from my scalp. I don't sweat much elsewhere, it just pours out my head.
Wake up number 2 for us and I'm grossed out. My apologies if this is TMI
brandienee he'll be fine. You clearly needed the sleep.
I did that to DS1 a few times and he isn't scarred. DH was regularly confused by my sleep deprived antics. I would most often pop a boob out, fall back asleep dreaming I was feeding DS and then leak milk all over the bed. *-)
I'm here with you guys awkwardpenguin & starburst. Like water*drop, I don't always take out my phone, but am always up multiple times a night. I think we're going to sleep train soon :/
R is such a noisy sleepwr! I can't tell whether he's fussing or just making baby gerbil noises most of the time.
This is how DS2 is, and why he sleeps on his room vs ours.
I just put him down less than an hour ago. I think he woke himself up with a cough. He is already pasing back out on boob, let's hope this wakeup is short
