Is 4:25 too early? Whatever. I am having a serious crisis over clothes purging. I need to trash this part of ugly brown Capri sweats I have had forever but am having a mental block about it because I like them despite their awful condition. Lol. I am terrible at decluttering. Also, I found myself yesterday wishing I had this pink Eddie Bauer down vest that I purged serval years ago after only wearing it once. This is why I don't get rid of things!!!

We're going to a childbirth class reunion tonight. I'm so excited to see all the babies! We're supposed to bring a dish to share and it's totally going to be something from the Mariano's deli.
I think poor 5 week old DD caught DS2's cold. She sounds congested and is sneezing and coughing. But overall it doesn't seem to be bothering her too much yet. Just praying it stays that way and maybe some breastmilk magic keeps it mild.
I got home from our trip and H had cleaned the whole house! There is nothing on the counters or kitchen table! I could cry from happiness.
Also, j started crying in the car and singing/playing/paci weren't cutting it....so I put Daniel Tiger on YouTube. My six-month-old ripped the phone out of my hands and proceeded to hold the phone himself and laugh hysterically at Daniel for 20 minutes. Some would call that a mom fail. I call it a major win.
These are awful. Bleach stains on the front, waistband is fraying and an ugly color. But I love them. Lol.
Girl, no! I mean that with love.
hahahha
You should see the shirt I am wearing right now. You would faint. It is my favorite tshirt from about 10 years ago and it literally has over 20 holes in it. I counted.

we went to a cookout/wiener roast last night and i forgot how smelly EVERYTHING is when you get home. had to wash coats and everything today. the smell of my hair last night almost made me sick.
ds is currently napping with his butt in the air. hasn't done that in forever and it is the cutest thing.
Sitting on the couch with a sleeping baby. Brunch was a lot of fun today. DS and our friend's son had a blast playing with each other, and were just so cute. I've gotten some stuff done around the house and was able to put DD for a bit and get some work done.
I'm going to make a packing list for our trip to Chicago next weekend for my brother's wedding. Anyone care to tell me how it works to take a baby and stroller through security at an airport? Also can I gate check the infant carrier since its kind of part of the stroller?
Church is SO MUCH EASIER this year. No crying at nursery dropoff, lunch is easier, he can do the stairs all by himself, he doesn't roam around as much for the part of the service where grandma is watching him.
There was a bicyclist down in the middle of a big four lane road near our house on the way home. Thankfully she had a helmet on. No update on our neighborhood blog. I hope she is alive
We successfully meal planned for the week! Though the tile is going in so we only had 4 days instead of 6.
DS's birthday is today and we has his party at the children's museum. Then I went to my friend's baby shower, then stopped by the local baby store that was celebrating their anniversary (huge door prizes etc). I am officially exhausted.
I'm making thanksgiving dinner again tonight. I don't eat meat so I still call it "thanksgiving" We are having pork loin, stuffing, mashed potatoes (made with cream) and creamed corn.
jeaniebueller If they bring you joy, keep them! Just don't leave the house in them, lol.
Some friends of ours came over with the express purpose of playing with our son. They are in the play room having a blast while I sit on the couch and drink wine. Come over any time, guys!
omg we had neighbors like this in Atlanta. They would just come over and collect dd1 and play with her at their house all afternoon. She still asks about her aunties and we are still in touch but DAMN do I ever miss them living 3 doors down!!!
I'm sitting all alone in C's big boy room that he's going to sleep in for the first time tonight and feeling all the feels. My baaaaaaaby!
We still have lots of finishing touches to make (swap out old doors for new white ones, caulk nail holes, hang art, eventually replace windows), but damn it looks so good!
Here was the room when we first bought the house.
Here is is from a few weeks ago. We removed wallpaper and painted the paneling about two years ago.
I get sort of embarrassed about how big my house is sometimes. We had friends over and were in the playroom and they thought it was Ben's bedroom. Then they remembered he has a whole other giant room upstairs.
Large houses are extra annoying to straighten up though.
We're at a new restaurant that specializes in pizza and ice cream. You can get a 10 inch pizza and they make the ice cream fresh in front of you using liquid nitrogen. It's very cool. And they have a play area, so J is getting some energy out. And MH and I played soccer while my mom ate with J.

Since I'm nosy I have always been curious how expensive your house is to heat. I know it's old and historic and you live somewhere cold!
Not bad actually! We have central air and since we are a brick house in between two other brick houses it keeps heat well. DH is the money guy (lol) but I know he was pleasantly surprised.
Wow @glitz07 what a difference! Great job. I feel a similar sense of pride in DD's room. It was lilac when we bought the house, with some holes in the walls and nasty carpet. For the last year it was DH's office/junk room, so we repaired the holes and painted it brown. Before DD moved in we had a ceiling fan installed and had the the carpet cleaned/repaired. It took us FOREVER to clean out that room, my god. Now DD is moved in, and we're all sleeping so much better. Just a few finishing touches left.
PSB has been staying dry for a month overnight, so we finally ditched the pull-ups. 4 years and 3 months later and my big girl is finally 100% potty trained!
This gives me hope. At 3y9m, DS still fully fills an overnight size 5 diaper.

DS is 3y8m and regularly overflows his Goodnite pull-up, which is designed for elementary-school kids who wet the bed. He's 40 pounds and outgrew all diapers over a year ago. He's nowhere near ready to be in underwear overnight.

Our neighbors threw a party for their dog today. He turned 10 and has cancer so they wanted to celebrate. DD did awesome and we met some new neighbors - this crowd definitely skewed older
Also H really wants to move dd to a bed and because he feels like I steamroll every parenting decision (because I know best!!!!) I am letting him have this one. But if this ruins our shit sleeper, so help me god I am moving into the guest room and he can deal with it. (Of course he is a sucker so would likely end up co sleeping or something) of course this idea coincides with her not wanting to be put in her crib and occasionally taking up to an hour and a half to fall asleep
