I'm scheduled to read to my April 2012 DD's class for 20 mins tomorrow. Right now, the only thing she wants to read at home is anything Pinkalicious, which doesn't strike me as something that the boys are going to dig. I bought the Dragons Love Tacos and the follow up book about the secret pizza party, but my 6 year old tells me they are lame- my words, not her's. I am ridiculously nervous about having the right book! What are some of your kids' faves? TIA!

These are great! Before Pinkalicious, she LOVED Pete, the "if you give" series, and Llama Llama. Thanks much!!! And, in sooooo done with Pinkalicious.... We have read them all a million times!
The Olivia books, Press Here (may not be good when reading to a large crowd), Grace for President, and The Day the Crayons Quit are all really popular round here!

Another Pete the Cat book fan. Danny and the Dinosaur, Room on the Broom and Toad on the Road are this weeks favorites. We also agree that Dragons Love Tacos and Secret Pizza Party are not lame.
Anything Clifford, Paddington, Dr Seuss are for sure hits. We take him to the library and let him pick out books that interest him. We read a lot; we currently have 15 books checked out!
